So it's been released to the public just few days short of the shipment of the first batch of iPhone 5. Anyone tried it yet? I'm thinking of upgrading, but I still wanna keep my Jailbreak. Hope there's a untethered solution for iOS 6... But enough about me, what about you guys? What are your thoughts?

Is the title a joke? I own a lot of iOS products and I got to say no it not that advanced.
iOS 6 deletes google maps and YouTube apps. The new stores for apps and music is cool. But besides that it still the same really. Most of the new map features only work for 4s,5 and iPad 3

I updated my iPhone4 yesterday to iOS6, and I'm a bit disappointed. Once again, it doesn't feel like a new version of an OS, rather just a bunch of new features. Most of which, I'll probably never use, like Passbook. One thing I really don't like is the new App Store. I really hate the horizontal scrolling through apps. It doesn't make any sense on a more vertical styled screen.

Yeah, I'm on it right now on my iPad. It seems Pretty much the same to me, so I'm not really too excited either way. I am looking forward to trying Siri on my iPad though, I love it on my phone and use it fairly often so it will be interesting to try it on the iPad.

I didn't realize they got rid of YouTube apps though, that's actually kind of annoying.

How about not? Just finished the update, looking at my phone I was like "Did I LOSE something?"

This update is by far one of the worst. Really? All they did was take away some really useful features, in turn for such worthless ones.

I had a lot of problems when my wife upgraded her phone, and I my iPad. Namely, wif-fi connection sucks. I eventually got them both connected, but they both now cut out randomly every few minutes. Following the instructions that Apple was giving out or the various other fixes out there never really solved the issues. iOS 6 seems it was not 100% ready for public consumption and I hope they release a patch for it to fix those connectivity issues.

On the plus side, Safari is a lot faster than it was before.

They look awwwwesome on iPads when you use the 3D "fly over" effect. Only thing I noticed was that the 3D thing only really works on city centers, not suburban areas. But the way you can turn things, change perspectives, zoom, etc... pure wow.

I ran into the exact same issue (which I reported over in the iPhone 5 thread) with my 4S, but my "New" iPad updated fine. Ended up backing up my phone, wiping it, and, and recovering it from the backup and it's running awesome now.

    YouTube:
I updated after finding out that Google released their own Youtube app after it was taken out due to iOS 6. I installed the new OS only to find that the YouTube app is primarily for the iPhone and the iPad one is coming in a "few months". Podcasts are split from the stock music app for god knows what reason, Maps is pathetic (Although I will say, Yelp support is something I've wanted for a long ass time) and the changes to Safari mean nothing to me, as I've switched to Google Chrome on the iPad.

No yeah, totally the best OS ever. If by "OS" you mean "Steaming pile of shit that removes features I use on a regular basis due to bitchy corporate reasons and are replaced (for the time being regarding YouTube) by what is a shadow of it's former self."

Are you kidding me with that title, the first version of android had and has more features and is more advanced than Ios 6 ever will be.

Ok, so the maps app is really bad. That's kind of a bummer. I don't use it a whole lot, but did use it. Plus still having wifi connection issues. Wife's phone is working fine though.
