Boring? They thought the action sequences in ROTF were boring... all because they didn't know what was going on?

I agree with you, Mister Gone. They were rather hard on ROTF.

I think the whole desert fight scene was boring, indeed. But I wouldn't call the 'real' action scenes boring..

ROTF the worst sci-fi film of the year? How predictable.

Seriously, there were plot holes big enough to drive a flatnosed cabover semi through but as far as action goes I had fun with those parts.

Am I seriously the only one who could tell the characters apart? ._.

It was boring, 20 minutes of poor plot stretched into 300 hours of film. I had never thought of comparing it to Bunuel, but it's an apt comparison.

I'm still stumped at how anyone who wasn't a hardcore TF fan could've even remotely enjoyed it; heck I still want my $2.50 back.

Are people NOT wanting to see what's going on? I seriously had no problem making sense of the visuals. THe only way I'd understand it is if all the reviewers have 20/80 vision and were watching with their glasses off. The (lack off) internal logic and acting I can understand, but the visuals?

Yea I think Revenge of the Fallen went above and beyond in being one of the few films where I got so bored during a big fight that I thought maybe it would be a good time to go to the bathroom or get some snacks until something interesting could come along to end the fight. I mean that battle in Egypt just goes on and on with just nameless human extras and nameless Decepticon clones getting killed with sand blasting all over the place. Even in the horrible films I've seen I can't remember getting that bored during a fight.

The story what there was of one combined with the acting and the humor really help to cement that top spot of the bad list.

I suggest you don't bother with the third one then. And I take it you didn't go to see the first one, because a deaf blind person who was DEAD could have worked out that the sequels would be more of the same.

I wouldn't say the first movie was as bad as the 2nd. Actually I liked the first one overall outside of the poop jokes. The 2nd one just took it way too far and the disjointed story and cardboard acting took away from what good action there was.

Aw well, ROTF was trashed by most of the "professional" critics. Now it's being trashed by the nerds too?

Watch, they've all got pictures of Shia LaBeof and Megan Fox in their rooms. But then again, what kind of man doesn't have a poster of Fox in their room? :p

    Maybe not to that extreme.

Perhaps a deaf blind person who had a lobotomy.

Are we back to this? Have we not bashed/defended this movie enough already? This will definitely go down as the most scrutinized movie of 2009 if not ever. Can we make a New Year's Resolution to give it a rest already?

My New Year Resolution will be to forget that ROTF was ever made! Starting now.

I hope Transformers 2 is good. I can't believe we havn't had any info leak at all and it's been almost 3 years since the first one. I hope 2010 has so good tidbits
