    OH HELL YES!!!!!

Now wouldn't it be awesome if they can develop this to become wearable technology. Then we could have a real predator, or a real MGS sneaking suit, or a real cloak like Master Chief! Oh the possibilities!

The Ministry of Defence honed this technology by first testing it on sandwiches and bikes.

Invisible tanks? I think it may be hard to hide something that big while its moving, unless it has to be stationary to work?

I've seen this type of camo before and its not practical. You would have to have a whole film crew following along.

However, refracting electromagnetic waves so that it actually appears invisible would be far more believeable. I think was way to appear invisible to microwaves is as far as anyone has gotten.

Nah. They just strapped 40 flat-screen monitors all around the sides of the tank.

Meanwhile, based on the title, I came into this thread half-expecting a Lolcat picture.

It's all been on Discovery channel a long time ago.
It's made of active fiber optic cells so that one side is projected to the other and vice versa thereby giving the illusion. It's also being tested for soldier camouflage. Largest problem is the powerscource... it consumes electricity.
