Yup, that's awesome.
It's like Wonder Woman and her invisible jet?!
That's just beyond comprehension.
Like active cameo.
Very cool indeed.
OH HELL YES!!!!!
Now wouldn't it be awesome if they can develop this to become wearable technology. Then we could have a real predator, or a real MGS sneaking suit, or a real cloak like Master Chief! Oh the possibilities!
I'd take anything in the Mail with a pinch of salt but that's truly amazing.
The Ministry of Defence honed this technology by first testing it on sandwiches and bikes.
Invisible tanks? I think it may be hard to hide something that big while its moving, unless it has to be stationary to work?
I'll believe it when I SEE it
About time we get some Gray Fox stealth camo
I've seen this type of camo before and its not practical. You would have to have a whole film crew following along.
However, refracting electromagnetic waves so that it actually appears invisible would be far more believeable. I think was way to appear invisible to microwaves is as far as anyone has gotten.
So...they've got projectors hanging off the sides of the thing or what?
Nah. They just strapped 40 flat-screen monitors all around the sides of the tank.
Meanwhile, based on the title, I came into this thread half-expecting a Lolcat picture.
so they've taken the tech from 007's car and put it on a tank, smashing!!
It's all been on Discovery channel a long time ago.
It's made of active fiber optic cells so that one side is projected to the other and vice versa thereby giving the illusion. It's also being tested for soldier camouflage. Largest problem is the powerscource... it consumes electricity.
I'm waiting for them to apply the technology to condoms. They'll never see me coming...
But it's invisible...you'll never see it....
Separate names with a comma.
