Yeah but if this thread doesn't get locked or buried from disinterest some one will almost certainly throw out some kind of anti religious sentiment or poor taste joke about the incident and that might trigger more of the same. Outside of that is this really even gd worthy?
pretty much have one thing to say. any old building, clothing store, church, restaurants, etc. shuold have their wiring check. one restaurant near me caught fire because the wires were old and wearing out and needed replacing.
A church just up the road from me burned down, earlier this year. I think they said it was the AC, or something, shorted out. They're still building the new one.
That sucks. The important thing is noone was hurt, though. A church is just a building, albeit one sacred to many, and it can be rebuilt. Its strength is its parish, who can hopefully come together to rebuild or construct a new one. Although, with all the candles and old wiring in many older churches, its a wonder this kind of thing, though unfortunate, doesn't happen more often.
i don't see how its any different than if he posted to say that his house burnt down or something similar. people post personal things here all the time. hopefully all goes well for rebuilding.
