Well this only show us that this guys dont care what the fans whant they do whatever they want example whirl and roadbuster... ignoring bw 20s original rid and armada 10s they could release a shared online exclusive of omega prime vs gigatron or a henkei hot shot vs armada starscream

I didn't really pick up on them ignoring us at all, he specifically mentioned reading online about what fans thought of their products.

If I was John Warden, I'd probably ignore a lot of that stuff, too.

Of course, given that Whirl and Roadbuster were released along side Rhinox and Sky Byte, and they released an Armada Megatron in Combiner Wars, I'd say they haven't really ignored anything at all.

    Those were his favorite toys.

Don't deny you wouldn't do the same thing if you were in his shoes.

Reading the interview does make me realise that so many of my favorites are getting updates : Fort Max, Powermaster Optimus, the Headmasters, the movie characters - maybe they're not quite what I expected but lately I've definitely been ticking a lot of boxes on my wishlist.

There's plenty more, so let's wait and see what's in store.......okay, that shouldn't be taken literally. That's really asking for disappointment.

How are they not caring what fans want. Whirl and Roadbuster are prime examples of characters that appeal to fans. Along with all the characters being done in Titan Wars and Combiner Wars, celebrating the 30th anniversary of the animated movie.

It's true they're not doing anything for BW, Rid 2001 and Armada, but you can hardly have 4 anniversaries going on simultaneously. The kids who watched BW are now in their mid 20's or older, so while it would be great for there to be some focus on BW, but a lot of people seem to feel that the Rattrap, Rhinox and Waspinator released a while ago, didn't sell well.

Hasbro doesn't even have the rights to the Rid 2001 show, so it'll be hard to promote an anniversary for a show they can't even release.

Transformers Armada is 14 this year, not exactly a mile stone for it, but maybe they'll do something next year. As you pointed out they have released recently an Armada Starscream and Hotshot, so while it may not be the attention you want it to give, they're still paying homage to those shows.

They have released some Beast Wars and Armada figures, though some of them do seem to be a bit less popular than the G1 updates. CW Armada Megatron shelf-warmed while his counterpart often sold out. Rattrap (which I still have to hunt down) is apparently also a long term resident of the toy stores. Saying that, I like Generations Armada Starscream a lot better than the Classics G1 version.

Personally I will be looking out for updates of the Beast Wars and Unicron Trilogy TFs, but I think Hastak are currently taking the opportunity to give us updated citybots, combiners, triple-changers and 'Masters from the oldest Transformers continuity. That particular checklist has been around for a long time ( And we still haven't got a full updated G1 Dinobot team).

Afterwards, they may decide to focus on something new - or less old.

I can't help but find Nautica specifically getting name-dropped a couple times just a tad conspicuous given the rumours from Transmissions super secret source...

I wouldn't blame that on a lack of interest in Armada. It and Sky-Byte were instances where they completely missed the point of producing modernized figures. Sky-Byte brought virtually no improvements over his RiD release while removing most of the functionality the original had. "Armada" Megatron was even worse since he was a complete afterthought to the G1 version, carrying no sculpted resemblance beyond the head while lacking every bit of uniqueness of the 2001 toy.

Yep, I think this all but confirms Nautica, especially considering she was on the "rumored but have all come true" list.

Why must they always say "stay tuned" when they want to evade a question....and the interviewer bringing up 'diversity' because fans talk about that a lot....yeah....sure they do.

You act like we are entitled to figures... They have the job of making figures while you have the option of buying them or not. That's all you or the fandom deserves
