I recall hearing that the international Transformer Prime toys release date is gonna be later than the USA one. Is that true and if it is, by how long?

Australia isn't getting the 1st edition toys until March next year, which is also when we get the main line.

I don't know about that. But some TFP: First Edition is already out at retail in some Asian countries, like Malaysia, Philippines and Singapore.

They really want Australians to buy their toys, don't they!

UK should be getting ours in January, according to a genuinely reliable online retail source :thumbs2:

I look forward to moving back to the UK, to a place that Hasbro will actually ship to.

March was thrown around a lot a few weeks/months ago, but Kapow have confirmed the release date for the UK has now been brought forward. Of course, there's no guarantee that retailers will choose to get the stock out on shelves then...

Often Australia gets toys sooner than the US. It is only during periods of movie hangover that we seem to suffer. All this DOTM trash has been shoved down our throats to such a degree that consumers are just sick of it. The shelves clog up so it looks like Transformers are a bad investment.

I can't believe that it is Christmas and all we can buy are more movie toys. I have bought pretty much every thing (I like) that is out and all of it online. Retail is flushing themselves down the toilet.

i assumed that kapow would have them in january and that tesco and smyths wouldnt get them right away. i wouldnt be surprised if the retailers dont get them in until february or march.

Kapow have had them in for at least a couple of weeks now. Andy has said they have been told by Hasbro that the line (we assume First Edition) will be at general retail in January.

Then again, Tesco broke the street date on the Thundercats toys so who knows if we might get them early? Could go either way, depending on how much DotM stock is left in stores to get in its way.

My local Target is quite devoid of Transformers. I haven't seen them so badly stocked for a long time :(

I have a Country Target (a small Target I think.) which rarely stock toys full stop.

Irish retailers order their stock from Hasbro U.K.

Last i remember, Hasbro's only presence in this county was a boardgame factory in Waterford.

Forbidden Planet's website had Jan 29th listed last i looked, so it may well end up being Feb, really.

Kapows initial stock of Prime toys almost definitely came in from Asia, not through Hasbro Europe.

..It's a lot better than how things are where you are now.......but you don't hear us not complaining.

You can add Taiwan to that list as well. I found a ton of the figures on Sunday, including the Prime/Megatron two-pack.

I wish I was. Snark got an email from Hasbro about it months ago, here's the email in question:
