If you are any bit interested in seeing something no one in the transformers world has ever seen before, check this out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dmFGhf_cTPI
I don't get it. Were the Decepticons shooting them, followed by Megatron / Starscream? At any rate, that's almost certainly a fan edit. Maybe it follows an earlier script like where those other guys were meant to buy it, but honestly there's no way that's been animated and left undiscovered until now. Someone would have found out about it for sure long ago.
It looks almost like a section was just played back in reverse and inserted. I think. But yeah, I can't believe that's lain undiscovered for 20 years only to surface on...Youtube.
Ok, what's so special about this clip? It looks the exact same as every other version I've seen barring the colouring mistake that turns Skywarp into Starscream.
Someone repainted Starscream to Skywarp? I never noticed until I went and checked the movie that there was a continuity error with Screamer there. I also noticed Dirge in the backround of this shot....not moving, frozen in the background.
its interesting because someone did a neat recolor of the Starscream into Skywarp because prior to that scene Starscream was supposed to be holding Megatron and then all of a sudden he's not and then a few seconds later, he is again. Recoloring Starscream into Skywarp for that one scene just makes it look a little cooler.
Now these are the kinds of things I was hoping to see when we heard the DVD release was to be "color corrected". Too bad this isn't to be on any official release of the movie.
You have realize color correcting and "re-animating" are two very different things. When they color corrected it, they just re-adjusted the white balances and adjusted the spectrums of each different scene so they matches as a whole. Yes, HOT ROD WAS PINK! I remember clear as day as a child. Fixed the animation errors is a task I would never expect a company to feel is worth doing. Leave to the more ambitious of us...
