Found this at Tformers.com : If Bob is a massive gamer and wants to play Escalation in hard mode but I want to play it on moderate, and Dan wants it on easy, we can still all play Escalation - it will just be a different difficulty setting for each player.
that'll be hilarious to see. Bob: "*killed at the start of wave* oh god why!?!?!??" Me: "dude it's not that bad. i mean it's challenging yes, but- *gets killed* dammit!!" Dan: "i have no clue what you guys are talking about. this is a walk in the park "
Thats actually quite a good idea. By doing this you're opening the game up to players who previously wouldn't have been able to pull their weight on higher difficulties and annoy the more serious players. I assume this will only change the damage the player takes? I can't imagine they'd have enemy health changing depending on who is shooting at them. Nice little touch, HM.
Kind of like how Gears of War did it. I don't mind i guess, at least it's there for those that may need it. Like any other game i'll jump in on normal and see if i need to go onto hard or stay on said normal difficulty.
I wonder if it actually will be like Gears in a way, in that matchmaking it's set to normal, and private match is where everyone can choose their own difficulty.
