Could you post a pic of the pincers and back while detached, so we can see exactly what you mean? I'm gonna do this mod eventually...but haven't had the guts just yet to trash a g1 toy I love (despite the fact I have a mint reissue)

 

Any further word on these kits? My not-insecticons are still on the shelf waiting

Like I said a page or two back...the denial going on here is massive.

A couple could have made a human baby and that baby could have had a birthday by now in the same amount of time. The thread should be closed, but after watching this train wreck of a thread for well-well-well over a year, and it not dying, I had to comment on the ridiculousness.

 

Hate to say it, but I have to agree. Time for someone else to step in and fill these shoes!

Sunlink has some nice g1-ish accessories on shapeways for these guys.

Its pretty simple mod, and improves them a lot!!

 

I don't have a timetable. I won't give up until they say they have given up.

 

I try to give people the benefit of the doubt as well. Facts are facts...look at Spoomman's profile, he hasn't been on since December. I also paid him for a commission 7/31/11 that I am still waiting on, have not received any answers about, and even looked finished from the photos I saw. The add on parts are not going to be completed and even if they are it is going to be a looooong time as it would appear that he is behind in a lot of other commissions too.

 

I f you look at the proto pics you can see what shape to cut the pincers.....but once you get the "clips" created its up to you what you wanna do to them.

This is a really easy mod. I did this to my guys awhile ago. There's some detailed pics on the front page and a closeup of how to attached bombshell's horn on page 5.

Oh yea , it pretty simple. I did mine different, but this would be the easiest. U might need to and some inserts for the little gap on each side but here is a pic of one I found on the net.

Well, you're a very patient man, though your ability to acknowledge reality is a bit off.

Rather than keeping out hope for the next few years, I'm going to mod mine as shown a few posts up (thanks by the way, this mod looks really easy).

 

i had the same problem with Spoonman i commissioned a upgraded TFCC Punch/Counterpunch head and THANK FREAKIN GOD i never paid him anything, he kept telling me he had it almost done and everytime i asked for pics he would ignore me. its been going on almost 3 years since i commissioned him

 

I already paid him back in July of '11 for my commission. Here was the result...http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/radicons-customs/464510-classics-style-bruticus-head.html. The head was totally finished but for what ever reason unbeknownst to me he wouldn't ship it. He implied that he still had to work on it which I didn't understand. A while later I came across his post about making a Spotlight Arcee head, http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/radicons-customs/507174-spotlight-arcee-head.html. I told him that I wanted to buy one and Spoon told me that he would send me one for free with the Bruty head for waiting so patiently. I thought that was very generous and extremely cool. Over 1 1/2 years later I'm still waiting. -.-

Insect items at Shapeways

 

Unfortunately, I'm in a similar situation regarding a commission. I made a downpayment, but the bulk still hasn't been paid and we're a couple years in now. The items look done apart from paint. Still holding out hope on them though!

And on-topic, I think I'm going to have to commission someone to do these insecticon mods for me!
