Got those two war machines in the mail last friday. Two ''legendary'' TFs I was looking for since a long time. I would say that Overlord is now the true jewel of my collection, based on its rarity, on par maybe with my MIB Brave Maximus. Overlord came in MIB, unaplied stickers(but not anymore, oh-my-god), missiles still on sprue, a perfect styrofoam insert and a very decent box(about C8.5). As you can see, it's the European version...fine enough for me.

I'm very happy with this piece of Cybertronian history! I will post a complete review of Overlord, with pics, later this week, so stay tuned!:thumb

...and G1 Sixshot Reissue. A great-great figure, even by G1 standards. He's big and what he lacks in articulation he gets plenty in playability. All his modes are quite impressive but the most notable are, imo: the jet(a HUGE jet), the laser gun(bigger than G1 Galvatron in gun mode!), the ''Mobile Attack Platform'' and of course, the robot.

great find there. I want an Overlord badly. Is the European one generally less expensive than the Japanese one? What are the differences between the two?

The European version is slightly less expensive, based on what I've seen so far. I saw not long ago, a complete Japanese version on Yahoo Auctions Singapore: it was almost 450$US(with oversea shipping) if I remember correctly.

My european Overlord cost me around 330$US+oversea shipping(it came from Belgium!)...noooot too bad, I guess.

Nope -- definitely not bad at all. I would jump without hesitation if I saw an MIB/complete/unapplied stickers one for that price.

I understand that you may be quite in shock. I confess that I've spend a few days thinking about applying or not the stickers on such a rare TF. This question is the object of much debate, and I respect that. Really.

The fact is: I love TFs like a child does, as nerdy as it may sound. Meaning that I actually ''play'' with them. Well, I should say ''manipulating'' them,he-he. I'm not really into the MISB drive. I take the utmost care of my toys but, go figure, for me they're still toys. Not untouchable objects.

In my view, applying the stickers on those plastic monsters is a great part of the fun, and the nostalgia, the same motivators that kept me collecting in the first place. I'm perfectly aware that, by doing so, I significally drop the value of such a vintage item.

The same dillemma could extend to other collectibles, like wines: open to drink(if the wine is fully mature) or keep it in the cave as a potential source of wealth?

    I guess I'm a cheerful hedonist.

That loves to see his G1 Overlord in all its glory...

    ...with its stickers applied.
