Does anybody here watch Initial D?
It's a great animation about a Tofu-Delivery boy becoming Japans famous downhill drifter. Great animation, realistic driving, awesome and fun to watch.

Almost makes me want to find a cheap ass '86 Trueno.

I've read a lot of the manga (not all, mind you), and watched some of it. I like it :)

I saw the live-action movie with Jay Chou. Almost fell asleep, but that could have just been thanks to Jay Chou's "acting".

Yea I was really disappointed in the live-action movie. I love the anime, still do especially now that with Netflix I can watch the rest of the series that I couldn't find on DVD.
The movie was dull for sure. But the series itself is awesome!

Oh wow I didn't even realize this was instant queue now.

I have been wanting to check it out but I no longer do the disc subscription from Netflix, and last I checked Initial D wasn't instant queue, but I see it is now!

I actually liked the live action movie. I think I was into it because of the cars tho.

I'm still holding on for a 5th Stage since I know the manga continues on with Project D.

I like how realistic it is. Even for a cartoon, it's very realistic. Wish I could drive like Takumi.

I just happen to look for the next stage...

    It's says Final stage. :(

I owe my first Transformer as an adult to this series/arcade game. Alternator Silverstreak as Bunta's car from first stage arcade. That was probably was probably 04' or 05'.

Oh the memories of the series and game. That spaceboy music is still ringing in my ears.

I use to sport a Cappuccino card back in my arcade days.

well i watch it couple of years ago... the manga was better.. anyway i stop watching it half way during the project D saga..

but even when i stop watching, i still keep up with the stoyline with the arcade game..

one thing good about the anime is the soundtracks... i really like space boy, night of fire and heartbeat.

The manga is GREAT. I'm not as keen on the anime of it. The manga has a certain dynamic that I think gets lost with the anime.

^ Sad times but good times.

An end to a good era.

Not sure why I never bought the manga even when the wife encouraged me to collect them.

I'm a bit of a hopeless mutant, but I really dug the live action movie, aside from turning Bunta into an abusive drunk - I remember him being stern, but not like that.
