Nice! Looking forward to getting the two issues.

And wow - twenty years later? I guess that works pretty well, considering the Transformers Wiki has placed the original mini-series' time setting as somewhere in the late 1860s.

On one hand, the first Infestation was just SO BAD. But on the other hand... ZOMG ELDRITCH HORRORS!

...I might have to break down and buy this.

I actually enjoyed the first Infestation run... It slid into the main IDW continuity well, story wasn't bad as well.

This is a nice follow up, and the fact it's HoS makes it even better... The dialogue is a little stiff, but the concept is great. Can't wait for the action to heat up next issue!

Bumblebee's explanation about Elder Gods was little bit stiff, and it would be better if there were more detailed explanation about how Decepticons became 'tools' of them.
    Overall story was nice, though.

Poor Ironhide... Now he is a tool to Elder Gods...

i thought the stiff dialogue was very much on purpose, trying to emulate the genre as much as possible.

Lovecraft was not a masterful writer, and tended not to explain too much about the unspeakable horrors, except that they were unspeakable. They were just there, their very existence too much for any mortal mind to fathom (UNSPEAKABLE!) Granted it's been a while since i read anything directly by him (as opposed to other author's using his ideas), but i remember almost being angry at how bad the writing was, and that it recycled certain phrase far too frequently.

but yea, i enjoyed, not a big deal to just buy 2 issues, it moves along quickly but there are only 2 issues to work with.

True, as Woundsave said, Lovecraft was great at creating an atmosphere, and writing elaborate descriptions of the unspeakable horrors and the old catacombs they slithered from, but not at doing a good story.

Must say I was wondering about the odd exclamation (XXXX Daniels? I think) Muldoon was making, never heard that before.

Love the new designs - BB the tram (funny how he had to hold the electrical line in his hand even in robot mode, don't the TFs have an internal power source?), Ironhide as the turret and later the small gunboat... I also noticed Blitzwing, Dirge and Shockwave in the crowd. I am really curious about what the heck Bonecrusher transforms into. Loved the 'you were always a tool' line. :)

I am sorry this only lasts 2 issues.

I really love the Seacons! They're so coincidentally fitting!

I hope the second issue is a lot more exciting and less introductory.

I need scans of all the robots who showed up in this one and not the original HoS. Can anyone deliver?

Was that supposed to be a Hearts of Steel movie Bonecrusher or the Constructicon? Looked a bit movie inspired to me.

Was that snow-vehicle Wheeljack himself, or something he built.

Oh, bonus points for the Trailbreaker/Hound/Ratchet train! Can we call this the "Auto-train" now?

Why was Optimus already a train, not still a dinosaur?

When do they reveal Tesla was a vampire?

BTW - Wouldn't it be fun if Hasbro had the gumption to make one or two Hearts of Steel designs in the Generations line?

At the beginning we seemed to have Seacons show up in robot mode and get taken by some Submarauder-like fish men.

Cliffjumper appeared as a gun turret on a ocean liner. Bumblebee appeared as a yellow streetcar. Ironhide was a red paddlewheel gunship. Bonecrusher appeared only in robot mode, but his form suggested a ship.

Trailbreaker Hound and Ratchet were a train (engine, and two cars respectively. I guess Wheeljack was a snow-vehicle, he never took on robot form. Blitzwing? Bonecrusher Dirge (similar to Starscream, but conehead) and Shockwave show up together, bot only in robot modes. Blitzwing could have been a tank or train.

Optimus Prime appears at the end, offline, in robot mode.

I'm glad to see one of the humans from the original Hearts of Steel story in this comic and on the Autobot's side. And where's John Henry? Did he die yet at this point?

Just google for a scan of the comic yourself, it's everywhere.

That was Ironhide as a turret. He later takes a new alt mode as the gunship.
