I like how the stock info for Ford was auto populated in there.
I'm impartial to this, but probably because I never really got into the first three films. If Stallone can be Rocky again, Ford can be Indy.
I thought somebody recently posted an article that said Ford wasn't going to be in it, and it was going to be a prequel?
Oh well, it sounds better this way. I bet it's about Atlantis or something like that.
Indy IV, the Duke Nukem Forever of Hollywood.
"We're going to go back to our roots on this one, like we did with The Phantom Menace" Lucas commented on Friday.
I hope it's good. I loved the first three. Especially the sound effects when he punches someone. "DJSSSHHH!"
I'm eagerly anticipating the Special Edition Trilogy on DVD. Rumor has it that some of the digital enhancements include Nazis riding dinosaurs, just like Lucas had originally intended, but couldn't do it due to special effects limitations at the time.
Indy 4's been given the go ahead more times than construction on the World Trade Center. At this point, I'm not believing either one until I see some pics.
I loved the 1st one. The 2nd one was eh OK, and the 3rd I never made it all the way through.
I wonder if Connery will reprise his role.
My thoughts exactly. It's like the new Futurama series/movies/direct-to-DVD releases that end up being false news. Both Indy 4 and Futurama have gotten my hopes up too many times.
I'll believe it when I see the trailer.
I'm pretty sure the Futurama thing really is real, as in "in production now."
Big Indy fan. All I can say is it's about damn time. Harrison doesn't look 62 anyway.
Very cool. Used to love the Indy franchise... haven't seen the movies in ages, though. Gonna have to pick up the box set...
Futurama is coming back in 08. It's being worked on now. In fact check out the interview with David X Cohen here for the juicy goodness:
As for Indy 4, well yeah I'll also be more hyped when I hear this thing is actually filiming. They've been talking about it getting started so many times now that this may just be that, more talk. If they do get it going next year well that would be cool. I like the Indy series a lot (3 the most, then 1, ToD eh not as much) so I hope 4 will kick ass.
I just don't see this being a good thing.... Lessons learned from StarWars says this wont be good.
Yeah, but Lucas was never pegged to direct. As creator of the character, Lucas has always had a hand in the script, but if Spielberg is in the chair, things may be fine.
*points to E.T. with walkie talkies instead of guns*
I thought he admitted that the walkie-talkies were a bad decision.
I wonder if because of Ford's age now, he'll either spend 6 hours every day in the makeup chair making him look 12 years younger, or if they're going to do an older Indy, say, fighting Communists in the mid-1950s during the Cold War?
We know how much he hated Nazis, I wonder if he'd hate Commies as much, too?
