Going to have to get to Star Wars extra early for all these trailers it has reportedly attached to it.

It's not a studio, we work WITH the studios, a separate company.
I don't make the trailers I watch them give feedback and well the best way I could put it would be when the Batman v superman came out and someone "fixed" it. They give me their trailer and some other clips and I give feedback and what I think it should look like. We sometimes or sometimes not get information with the trailers when they MIGHT drop stuff like that
what I end up seeing isn't always what is put out there because the company has other locations and other people giving their opinion so it's not always the same thing that comes out.

Ugh, looks every bit as terrible as I expected. Even more so thanks to it being all futurey with laser guns and whatever else.

    That was an okay trailer.

I was never really a fan of the first film, and the absence of Will Smith's charisma can be clearly seen in this film.

I will admit though that the VFX looks fairly above average and that the President's speech is still inspiring after all these years. I think this should be okay, like the last one was.

That was fantastic! It´s cool to see the humans and aliens on more equal footing. I cannot wait to see the dogfights and what new guns the humans created.

Also, why is that black guy armed with two machetes?

Pretty much. I was wowed when I saw those massive fortress built by the humans.

I am a man of simple tastes. :)

Also, is it me or do the humans jets resemble this Lego set, a lot?

    What it's not a reboot? K den.

It took them so long to do a sequel, applause.

I have to admit I'm actually really pumped for this, I know a lot of people will dislike the trailer and the fact that we are getting a sequel to this, but honestly after seeing the trailer I'm looking forward to it.

Well that's the new trend in Hollywood. On top of rebooting reboots, they're now big on phoning in unnecessary sequels 10-15-20 years later.

It's annoying that Memento has to be one of them

Judd Hirsch's character somehow looks younger than the original film, despite the 20 year jump.

Caught the trailer during the football game I was watching.

I kind of feel neutral at this point of not being sold on the film but not really saying pass either. It seems like a long time between films and the original wasn't exactly great except for the effects and all the cheese that make it a guilty pleasure. But you know Fury Road showed you can do something great with a long wait and it's not as long as I was waiting for a Star Wars sequel.

That trailer really turned my opinion around. I liked the first Independence Day quite a bit, but it doesn't hold up that we'll. I thought a sequel was unnecessary, and I had no interest at all (especially after Roland Emmerich's last few movies). However, that trailer was much better than I was expecting. I liked some of the futuristic reverse engineered technology in the trailer, and it looked like there were a few scenes in the trailer reminiscent of Aliens. I'm a little worried that it could be the same story but bigger, but I liked what I saw from the trailer. I still think it's unnecessary, but the trailer made me go from uncaring to mildly interested.

Liked the trailer. Visually it looks incredible, though that's not saying much considering there's been almost 20 years in technology since the last one. But I also like all the blues and stuff - solely because it's my favorite color. The film really does look like its twenty years after an alien invasion that left us with loads of tech to reverse-engineer and harness.

Damn, Bill's beard, though. And Jeff Goldblum's dad doesn't look like he's aged a day. Still wish Will Smith hadn't asked for so much money, I'll miss him here.
