Me and my wife were on our way home last night after visiting some friends. We're on the interstate, I'm driving and my wife's in the passenger seat. Driving along, this 18 wheeler starts honking at us. We were like "WTF?! why is he honking?". We started thinking about it, my wife's uncle drives a truck, and it looked like his truck, so we thought maybe it was him saying "hi" or something. So, we got ahead of him, and he starts flashing his lights and putting his blinker on. There was a truck stop ahead, nice lit up place, so we figured if it was her uncle and something was wrong, we'd feel bad if we didn't check it out. So we pull in, the truck behind us, we stayed in the light just incase, and the truck went to park. We waited a few minutes to see if her uncle came walking out, but instead, the truck came back out. So again, we were like "WTF?!" and started to leave. So then the truck driver puts his arm out and motions for us to follow. By this time, we're getting really curious as to what's going on. He pulls on to the on-ramp, then pulls off the road. So, we stopped next to him, to see if it was her uncle. But its not. Its some truck driver that looks like Kenny's dad from South Park. My wife rolls down her window, he says "Hey!", she says "Hey", and then I said "Hey". He looked alittle surprised when he saw me. But then these words come out of his mouth that I will never forget: "You want to climb up in the truck, and uh.., mess around a little?". Me and my wife were both like "NNNOOOOO!!" and I sped off. For the next few miles, all I could say was "WTF?!". I still can't believe it happened. Never in a million years would I have ever thought I'd hear something like that. But at least I now have a story to tell.
That's hot. Was he propositioning you, your wife, or both of you? You should have asked him how much he was willing to pay just for kicks, or say that she can't unless you could join in too. Then again, he may have liked that idea.
My wife says he didn't specify. But the way he reacted when I spoke, I think he wanted my wife. I really didn't want to stick around to find out.
wow, as one who travels a lot, always make sure you know what vehichles you family drives. It's tough if you know a truck driver who doesn't have his own cab. Never stop for anyone you don't know and even more so in cases like this, if it doesn't feel right keep on driving. As for hitchhikers it's against the law in most states, I will pick up the occasional hitchhiker, but only if i have friends and only if i know i'm in control of the situation. either way, glad your and your wife are safe.
Creepy. Sounds like something out of Brokedown. If that movie tought us one thing it was to stay away from truckers.
Dude, I don't think he was talking to you or your missus, he was talking to that hulk thing you have hanging from your mirror......
Come on now, truckers need love too! Who knows? Maybe it was another 400 miles to the next truck stop hooker, and sometimes a man just can't wait that long.
