I collect transformers and right now I am focusing on the movie toy line. I bought a brand new blackout scorponok desert attack and I realized that the legs were incorrectly attached and was packaged that way. The question I have, would this toy be worth more? Im not sure it can be fixed. I realize that most joints can be removed, but im almost certain that he has two right legs. The reason i believe they didnt notice is because he comes in robot form and not helicopter mode. when you try to transform him, you notice the error. Please let me know if the toy is worth more or less?

unless its a packaging error thats still sealed..errors by the factory (missing pieces, bad paint apps, etc) aren't worth that much. They probably would have devalued the toy.

Welcome to the boards, but next time you dont need to post the same thing twice...

Errors aren't really considered value-added by most collectors. Even packaging errors, and certainly not bad QC stuff.

I saw a GI-Joe Movie Cover Girl this afternoon packaged with a "New Viper Commander" label insert, snickered, and moved on. No ebay-gold there :lol

It's a flawed toy and likely one of a kind. There's no market for that. You're better off opening the toy and fixing it yourself.

Basics of toy collecting, this goes for any line EVER.

An essentially broken toy worth more? No.

This man knows what he's saying.

Broken/incorrect packaging really has no value, unless it is a widespread error in a collector oriented line.

Right. A widespread error over a good CHUNK of the production that garners interest. Best example would be the panty-less Angela figure from early in the Spawn line.

And most people complain about wanting more paint apps. LOL

Well at least that pack uses the first blackout, and you only need the left leg to fix it. So find a junker from the tfw junkion exchange, or ebay and you'll be set for loose complete.

I could also make a joke that you need to find the blackout with two left legs to complete the set. But I won't. Welcome to the boards.
