Just saw it, simply spectacular. Everyone was great in it. Nolan really knows how to get the best from the entire cast. Best picture and director nominations for sure.
i saw it earlier today and damn was it good. im gonna try and see it again soon just clear some things up a bit though. other than that i think its my favorite movie of the year
The beginning of the movie was a bit confusing, but once the action started it's hard to not get drawn into it. I've experienced Spoiler dream within a dream and dreams that lasted ages but only minutes in real time , so I totally get the concept of the movie. Would love to see it again and will buy the DVD fo sho.
Simply amazing. Chris Nolan has crafted something special with Inception. I absolutely loved this film in every way. From the beginning to it's brilliant climax, my eyes were glued to the screen soaking up every moment! It's multi-layered, complex, fun, emotional and thrilling. The characters were all great and the action was unbelievable. Gorgeous cinematography by Wally Pfister. My mind is still racing with thoughts trying to convey this film. But the superlatives are limitless. It's definitely one of those films that reward you on repeat viewings. I'm looking forward to seeing Inception again. It was an amazing experience mentally as well as visually. Perfect ending.
Inception-9/10 I really enjoyed it,a side from the somewhat weak action,I felt bamboozled, since this movie was suppose to be The Matrix like that on that regard imo. I also thought that some of the dreams were wasted potential,SOME,not all of them, and that the score was disappointing for the most part too. One small gripe I have are the very brief unintentionally funny moments, the water in the van sequences(not all of them). The way I see the movie is like this: Layer 1:Reality/dream(in no chronological order) Layer 2:A dream Layer 3:A dream I interpret Layer 1 as a reality only because Dom saw his kids faces, because his wife wasn't around, and because he wasn't remembering his wife. And of course it was also a dream since he woke up on a beach and ended up coming across Saito. I actually now consider dream 2,dream 1 as well, because Layer 1 isn't completely a dream to me. And if I have it right, dream 2/dream 1 makes up most of the movie. Lastly,I assume that the main dream/reality is a result of Saito helping Dom out, it makes perfect sense for me that he would help him out like that. I think that the reason for Dom's wife committing suicide is pretty strange. Or maybe the movie goes like this to really sum it up: Reality(no presence felt)->dream/reality->dream/reality->dream/reality
Was a great film, well directed with great acting & some cool action scenes. i can see some people having a bit of trouble following it with all the layers though, gave me a headache trying to keep up sometimes. The only problem I have is the Spoiler ambigous ending, I prefer a solid concrete answer most of the time
Double inception? It's more like triple inception?! Dom->Mal Saito->Dom Dom->Fischer If that's the case, this should totally be the right order of the three inceptions,I just thought of something else. Since Dom knows how to plant an inception in one's head,it is possible he could have done it to himself if it wasn't Saito that did it.
about the ending..... Spoiler So did it fall or was he in yet another dream? I just read this article on MTV news and http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1643620/20100714/story.jhtml This is from the Article, "Dileep Rao offered further insight, advising viewers to pay attention to the scene in an unusual way. "You know what, I'll just say this: Use your ears not your eyes." everyone at the Imax theater starting getting loud at that point and I couldn't hear if it fell.
After watching this movie, I haven't been able to fall asleep. Damn you Christopher Nolan you gave me insomnia! Seriously! I haven't been able to sleep after watching it. WTF it's been almost 35 hours now! Other than that, it was great. I loved how incredibly... surreal (If thats the proper term) the dream world looked like. I've never paid so much attention to a movie's plot before. Ten out of ten stars
That was definitely a thinking man's movie. I saw a few young teenagers come into the theater, and I imagine they were absolutely lost through the whole thing.
Well of course they would be LOST cause the only thing thats a well written film to them is TWILIGHT.
Man, Nolan really knows how to make an "A-grade" movie. Having seen it yesterday, I'm still at a loss for words to describe how fantastic it was.
Nope. Not scary at at all. But its a great movie. I don't even think it's as complex as people say... I understood it in one setting. Best thing about it to me is that while it's an action movie, if forces you to use your own creativity to figure out what happened. It's like a book in that after seeing it, you still think about it. I hope Nolan NEVER says what the intentions were or what happens/happened in the film. Makes it that much better that we don't know or can't be sure.
