Personally, I feel Ramjet was the finest- unlike the Starscream recolors, there was no wing kibble to interfere with articulation, which was otherwise very good.

The paint scheme is terrific, while the mold itself is a great homage to a lesser-known Decepticon from G1.

It seems that the only weakness that the boards can agree upon is the visibility of the face in robot mode.

Honestly, I'd have to go with Astrotrain. It's definitely the one I play with most when I'm working on something and trying to think things through.

They were all great. It's not a matter of one sucking and one being better, more of a personal preference.

Mine was Hot Rod. Always wanted a kickass version of him with two great modes. With this one it was executed really well. Unless there's an MP version of him out in the future, this is as good as he's going to get.

true dat, but when you mix 'IMO' with 'best' it kinda sends mix messages. for instance, you may think jetfire is the best - but then youre setting up yourself for argument, considering almost all the rest of the classics successfully conceals the fists.

    just sayin'.

    ima go with mirage here.

Best Classics Deluxe mold: Starscream followed very closely by Mirage.

Mirage. He's like a Revoltech that can transform.

    Best is probably Mirage.

Astrotrain and Rodimus are my favorites, though.

Mirage. Is there a pose he can't do that any of the others can? (other than some kind of transformation specific ability) And his alt mode is very pure.

As for just favourite, Megatrons bot mode with the cannon and articulation is a reality of a childhood dream. Don't even mind the wings, seems even more like he could fly than the G1 version.

Mirage wins for me. He's fun, he looks good in both modes, and he's the most articulated transformer I know of... seriously, the only thing he lacks is ball-jointed wrists, which I'm SURE could be kitbashed by someone who knows what they're doing.

He's my favorite, and IN MY OPINION, the best deluxe mold in Classics.

Hot Rod's still my favorite G1 character. But I really felt his classics version was a little disappointing. But maybe I expected too much. Yanno, like bicep swivels... and swivels ABOVE the knee, rather than below it... sigh. If Jetfire had both of those, he'd win my favorite, but... no. He has forearm swivels, rather than bicep (which is redundant, given his wrist swivels), and swivels below his knee... though given his leg construction, that would have made his engineering a little more complicated.

    Well, whatever. Mirage 4tw.

Mirage, by far. One of the greatest deluxes, ever. (EVAR!) He's not just articulated, he's poseable! He holds most poses, really well. Even crazy dynamic poses are stable, with this guy. He also looks totally kick ass in both modes.

"And, I even like the color."

    :lolol  I just watched that!

I really like Bumblebee. His transformation is great and his alt mode epitomizes what Classics was about: old favorites updated for today.

I have to go with Mirage as far as molds go, defiantly a great toy and the highlight of a fairly dull line.
