Yup. I figured the fruit part out on my own, and felt quite proud of myself. :)  Someone told me of the lizards later.

I also totally appreciate the detail they put onto the world, most of which serves no purpose except to make your imagination run wild. It might be the only game where that was motivation enough for me to go searching the landscape for hours. And then you get rewarded with sights like the beach...

I never knew about the fruit. I found out about the lizards, though. A healthy stamina bar is by far the most critical thing to have at your disposal when you're scaling a heaving, bucking, behemoth :lol

Gr. I want to play SotC again... I was listening to the soundtrack this morning after I woke up and it was putting me in a running and jumping mood. First things first though... finish Valkyrie Profile, then ICO, then back to SotC. Yes. That'll work.

So, with exploration in mind, has anyone climbed the tower? I tried after beefing the hell out of my stamina, but I always end up falling to my doom towards the top because I lose my way. I know it's not supposed to yield any new objects but it's supposed to be a nice view up there

I also discovered that you can jump over large gap with Argo (way before you goes to the final boss), it just made me...wow.

Try climb-jump in zig zag, as many claimed that it is a bug that doesn't consume your stamina at all.

I did on my first playthrough. Again, proud that I figured it out on my own. :)  I tried again yesterday and failed miserably. After watching a YouTube vid, I remembered the trick I discovered: if you hop straight up while climbing, you lose a lot of stamina, but you lose none if you hop side to side...

I don't think it's a bug, as the tower was meant to be climbed, and doing that is the only way to do it.

Yeah I did the side to side, but I think what happens is that I get to a certain point where I dunno where to go anymore and I end up wasting stamina. I need to watch that video.

Let me guess, it's in the first vertical part? Yeah, I got confused there, too. There is actually a wrong way to go on the way up; a ledge that you can actually stand on. That's NOT the way to go, as you cannot continue climbing if you reach that ledge. It's actually about another 1/3 up; on the right, there is a hand rail that goes for quite a ways. Basically, you don't get a single foothold until you make it to the end.

Ok then yeah I went the wrong way. I have to agree with the title. We are licking SOTC's balls, hehehehe.

Speaking of which, there is one Boss where you definitely get close to that area while climbing. I seriously wonder if it smells.

They are giants and you climb all over them. I think they smell like wet dog.

I was replying to Twin Twist's blatant abuse of power. :)
