So I got myself a an early copy of this game. It actually comes with both Escape from Butcher Bay and Assault on Dark Athena. I'm playing through Escape from Butcher Bay sense I never got to play it much on the orignal xbox. Butcher Bay wasnt just ported over to the 360, it's been redone. The game is more or less the same as the orignal Xbox, just the graphics are improved for the 360.

I sampled a little bit of Assault on Dark Athena, about the only new thing I saw compared to Butcher Bay (360 version) was that I could grab enemies, use them as shields, and then force them to open fire on their buddies.

So far Butcher Bay kind of reminds me of Deus Ex, it's got this mix of stealth action, shooting and interaction with other characters. It's also got little side quests that you can do.

I enjoyed the demo to Athena, and I loved Butchers on the original Xbox. Not only was it one of the better looking games on the system, but YUP, nail on the coffin, it reminded me of one of my favorite games on the Xbox, Dues Ex.

Where did you get an early copy?

I thought butchers bay got boring after a while. Though, I agree, at first it had nice graphics. I just played the dark athena demo, and it is just like butchers. Think I'll pass on that.

That Manager is a jerk for not getting me a copy. :D  I'm really thinking of buying this. I like this kind of FPS, where it's not really a FPS, it's more of a First Person Point of View perspective. There was that Xbox game (whos name I forget every time) that played like this... You even see the guy throwing up from your own point of view.

Escape from Butcher Bay was a great game (the finale is especially satisfying ... you'll like it, trust me). At some point I'll leave the stone age and get a next gen system and Dark Athena will definitely be on the purchase list :lol

Actually, I was going to buy Butchers on the Xbox 360, but it wasn't on the list of compatible with the 360, so I'm glad they included it with this game

Thanks Smash. I was going to say Crackdown. I'm glad I didn't.

I forgot to mention this, Assault on Dark Athena features multiplayer. I haven't tried it yet but I don't think it'll be special, just a few deathmatch and some weirdo game modes. Hope it lets ya be stealthy to the point where you can actually grab people from behind and do the whole neck snapping part.

cheese is awesome, but you start fucking around with 'vegetables', things like 'lettuce' and whatnot and you end up with 'the wheelman'

Wheelman is like Tomatoes and Cheese...yes.... I'm beginning to understand. I did like the movie, Chronicles of Riddick, though.

I heart Pitch Black. Before that movie I thought the age of Aliens/type movies was over. I think it's coming to Bluray soon.

They re-did Butcher Bay as well?!!

This is the first game in a while I feel I truly must have on opening day.

    Yes, that's right.
