Do whatever you want. But I would take him out and display him with my collection.

The fact that it is a modern day figure means you may as well take it out of the box. Stuff nowadays isn't really likely to appreciate in value if left sealed just because of how many people keep them MISB, unlike with older lines.

    ^^^^this.^^^^

Truly, I've noticed that we Transformers collectors, more than any other vintage or non-vintage toy collectors, prefer to have their figures(old or new) loose. There's just something about the robots that makes them want to be freed(possible sentience? The world may never know) and displayed. Plus, big boxes take up way too much room over cards(Star Wars/G.I. Joe/various Superhero figures/etc.).

i like to have a few:
one to keep in box transformed
one to keep in box non-transformed
one to keep in robot mode
one to keep in vehicle mode
one to sit on top of the box
one to be behind the box actually holding it up
    and

one to do your mom while i'm away

New toys will never have the same value as old toys because of the amount of collectors out there now. Back in the 80's and before they were just toys to be used and thrown away which is why they are so valuable. Dont speculate on modern toys youll be dissapointed, if you want to invest, buy some gold or land.
