I desperately need a piece of G1 Sunstreaker. Today, I was transforming my KO Sunstreaker, and the piece that mounts on top of his shoulder broke in half. I tried to CA glue it back together, but it wouldn't hold, and I couldn't get the cap back onto the pegs.
I'm broke at the moment so any donations would be nice.
Had this figure for only three days and broke a part already. Really sucks!
Need yellow shoulder snap-on part for G1 Sunstreaker, thank you!

You should try to drill a small hole down the center of both parts, then find a metal rod, maybe a paperclip to insert into the hole, joining them together with CA glue. If that doesn't work, just make a new shaft, you cant see it in bot mode anyways.

The part your looking for is pretty rare.

It might be worth the try to fix it.

That part is going to cost you a lot more than a $1.00. Shipping alone will cost more than $1.00.

If you want a BRAND NEW Sunstreaker, go to KO Toys.com. I just got the KO G1 Sunstreaker, and the quality is JUST AS GOOD as my original G1! It's a damn good deal. Only thing is, mine came with decals for Trailbreaker. (???) Good thing we have reprolables.com.

This is a brand new Sunstreaker that I had just received three day's ago from KO! It arrived perfectly! Just broke today when taking the part off for transformation. So, I don't need a new Sunstreaker, just a replacement part.

Darkov sells repro ones on the Radicons side.

    But more than a buck...

If the quality of the KO was really as good as the original G1 he wouldnt need a replacement part.

Or did you miss the part in his first post that said he only had "this" KO for 3 days before it broke??

I am sure the same part would brake on original figure as well as KO. The rest of the figure seems pretty solid.

    "Would break"....hell anything is possible.

But I have had mine G1 original for over 25 years.......and it hasnt broken yet.

And I havent heard many stories of them breaking either.

Most people looking for replacements do so because they have lost the original not broken them.

It was a very tight fit inside the hole and I think it was bound to brake no matter how careful I was. I am pretty damn careful with my stuff and was shocked when it broke in half. That said, I'm surprised both didn't brake!
Oh yea, I also noticed some stress marks where the arm folds into the car. So, I doubt I'll be transforming this figure much anymore. :(

The originals werent that tight a fit.

Guess that proves the original was better.

I didn't want this thread to be a KO vs Original post. I just simply wanted to replace a part.

That's how I found out about the KO. My buddy broke that same piece (off an original G1 figure), and found it cheaper to buy the KO for parts instead of buying a replacement. I couldn't believe the quality of the KO. Especially when you compare the KO to to the original. There is little to no difference.

You may be in denial, it's called a Halo effect. Trust me, G1 toys are VERY FRAGILE toys.

Some KO's suck. But the G1 Reissues are pretty amazing. Except for the Shockwave. The only issue with it is that they did not include the tension bars for the legs, so when he's in robot mode, his legs are flimsy. But the electronics, lights, sounds, plastics, all of it is nearly good if not just as good as an original G1.

I send an email to my pal who introduced me to the KO's. He has an extra Sunstreaker, and I am waiting to see if he'll part with that...well, part with that part. :)
