Anybody watch In Living Color? I usually don't, but it does come on before The A-Team so I tend to watch it once in a while anyway.

I've got a question regarding one of the actors in that show. This may sound like a stupid question, but I'm confused by the credits.
One of the actors in question I can swear up and down, left and right, that it's Jim Carrey. He look's, sounds, and acts like him. Yet, in the credits, it says James Carrey? Is James his alternate name, or like his brother or something?

I think it is Jim Carry I'm seeing In Living Color, but going under the name James Carry. Anybody else know what I'm talking about?

Yeah it was where he first got noticed. In living color was hilarious back in the day. But it lost steam when the best cast members all started doing movies. My friends and I loved that show.

Before that he was in movies such as earth girls are easy(also starring Damon Waynes and Jeff Goldlum) and Once Bitten(I think that was the title, it was a lame vampire movie)

It's definitely Jim Carrey. That was the show that made him famous.

LOL, this reminds me of the guard "Alice" from "Superjail!".

Like the others said, ILC was hilarious when the original cast was there and not trying to do a movie every month. It's probably the last time I thought Jim Carrey was funny. :thumb

My favorite ILC skits are the Loomis Simmons commercials. David Alan Grier is way underrated.

Thanks guys! I had the feeling it was him. I just didn't recognize the name James at first, but should've realized that James is Jim. Think James T Kirk, they call him Jim for short! :D

Also, I didn't realize that's where he became famous but it makes sense. Seems most actors start off in television before moving on to movies. I first saw Jim Carry in The Mask.
He was funny in that as well.

apparently, the OP never watched Star Trek; it may have helped solve this mystery.

James Tiberius Kirk was often called "Jim" by Spock and Bones.

and if it sounds like Carrey, looks like Carrey, makes you laugh like Carrey, then it has to be him, lol.

    IMDB helps, too.
