Looks like it's just the pin on his back holding him together at the abdomen. Probably gonna have to knock it out, but you could probably turn the center part of the hinge into a clip if you wanted to. That's what I'm planning to do on the pair of hinges his backpack is on.

 

Never mind, you're right. I guess it's the most silver paint we've gotten since for the movie line. Characters like Cogman and Sideswipe have been just drab gray plastic.

 

These are the first photos of this thing that actually make me want it.

 

HA Jazz had the best back a Movie Jazz ever had, but this... is kind of a disappointment. ('Kinda' because I like the way he looks from the front.)

Do we know if anyone's said whether this is 100% new??
Parts like the front grills/shoulders/backpack look like they're borrowed from the 07 toy.

 

So many good photos of Megatron and Jazz... But Brawl gets nothing but Stock Photos and terrible photos of him horribly mistransformed

 

Given that all the stock photos show his weapon attached to the right arm, they've worked around it somehow.

Besides, as far as the design goes, it's the right hand that's more accurate. It's the left hand that's cludged in order to make Jazz's weird, zygodactyl claws a bit more functional in the traditional sense.

 

Not a fan of the back but it does look like it\'s an improvement over the 2007 original deluxe Jazz figure. I might pick this up, now we just need a studio series Ironhide figure to complete the original 2007 Autobot cast. 

 

No, but if you own the original, (which I do) it is pretty clearly 100% new.

Still prefer getting Human Alliance over this, it’s bigger and better.

 

And has no interactivity with the majority of other movie toys.

If your only goal is to have the best overall toy of Movie Jazz, then the HA is probably your best bet (until an MPM is released). But if you want a toy that plays well with others, then this most certainly has a place.

 

Another issue with the human alliance is the insane prices.... seriously i think his price is a bit too high even if he is a good figure.

"looks pretty similar" maybe that's due to it being the same exact car for both and both being based on the same exact cgi model. next up you'll say every voyager optimus has been a remold of the first movie voyager  

 

Actually my preference is which one is biggest. Example being DOTM Leaders Ironhide and Bumblebee over their MPM versions because they’re bigger.

So since Human Alliance Jazz is easily bigger than Studio Series Jazz I prefer it over this one.

 

Alright, huge jazz fan here, own the Human Alliance jazz, and have owned the deluxe. Even though i was never really happy about his P̶A̶R̶T̶S̶   PART in the movie, i liked his design quite a bit.

If I had to pick I'd honestly go with Studio series, just because it's scales with more figures and also just looks more well rounded in terms of proportions.

 

Holy crap! I was just thinking, this SS Jazz just might be tall enough to replace the '07 deluxe in an original scale collection, being that this new one is taller than SS Bee.
