Looks great, but how's the articulation when compared to the FE one?

Suddenly, I'm re-considering about buying this when it's released. I probably won't however if the First Edition voyager Optimus reaches my area and I buy it. It's more likely that I'll buy the version that doesn't have the mouthplate.

I don't get the back kibble and I don't need another Voyager Prime. I will purchase this only when they release it with the faceplate-less head.

I really like him. Yeah, he's got more back kibble than the FE Voyager, but at least it's not as horrible as the Deluxe's. I also happen to like the gimmicks thrown in, though I doubt I'll display him with the gun. I also want to wait and see how the face-plate-less version looks.

I like that trailer hitch. I wonder if one can switch the legs with FE.

Other than that, I'm glad this is ugly...

That light up feature doesn't help that figure at all. I hope the kids eat it up like crazy. I don't want the aisle to clog up with these.

Oof, yeah, me too! So glad that's the one I went with, it seems like the best option.

This guy looks like a step down. The FE Prime mold just looks a lot more classier, with better proportions and a more refined sculpt. And no ugly transparent pieces or electronics mucking it up. The only advantage this one seems to have is the non-cheated chest transformation, but that's a small price to pay for the brilliant piece of engineering that is FE Prime.

No "early adopter" regrets from me so far.

Did I miss something? Since when is Transformers Prime abbreviated to RID?

"Robots in Disguise" is the subtitle for the main TFP toyline.

Exactly. I still do not understand what was the purpose of doing this one for when the FE is such a brilliant piece. This was a spot, not to mention time, energy, and money that could've been used for Breakdown.

If I am not mistaken, "Robots In Disguise" will be the new "catch-all" line. With identifying series labels also added.

Not looking forward to the very high possibility of that clear elbow joint cracking.

I really like this mold the more I see of it. While the retail version does seem to be a step down from the FE retail version, it seems like it's mostly because of paint differences. This one doesn't cheat on either the windshield or the shoulders, plus it actually has mirrors in vehicle mode and lacks the giant wind vane heels. I bet if somebody paints this up its true colors will show nicely.

That toy is like a combination of movie and G1.

And getting a FE instead. That Translucent plastic kills it for me. The back kibble and that shoddy weapon does not do any favors either.

Is he smaller than FE prime? He might fit in with Megs better if so. I genuinely didn't realise he was a brand new mold - I'd just assumed he was a heavy remold. Huh. I'd probably have to repaint the clear forearms, but otherthan that he looks fine. I'm still at a loss as to why they abandoned the FE molds so quickly, though. It seems insane.
