Even the power of takara couldn't fix bumblebee's head problem.

bummer. I really hate to mod an import toy but considering that it has to be stickered up and the minicon built as well I guess it adds to the "customize" factor.

you don't have to mod it, people just don't realize that the head is both geared and hinged. If you lift the head plate up all the way before doing the shoulder/ chest automorph the head sits a lot lower.

I imagine those stickers will get torn up with even collector-level play. :)

    The stripes aren't even show-accurate.

    Wow.

I really, really hope that Hasbro doesn't take any cues from TakTom on this 'stickers in lieu of paint' thing and use it on any of their upcoming Transformers products or toy lines. If nothing else, I just find it incredibly tacky and outdated.

I still shudder to think that I almost pre-ordered the entire AM line from HLJ a while back. Now I can use all of that unspent cash trying to get my hands on a RID Vehicon.

Darker yellow plastic for a more Moviebee look (similar to what Takara did for the FE Bumblebee too, if I remember correctly)...but the stripes are weird and the yellow that's part of some of them doesn't match the yellow plastic.

I really hope as this line goes along that, if Takara insists on substituting stickers for paint aps, that at least the design and amount of stickers improves going forward. I'm buying these regardless for the minicons but it'd be nice to get an actual Deluxe/Voyager figure that comes with it that I actually like the look of...aside from Terrorcon Cliffjumper, the figures alone aren't doing much for me since they're not going all-out with the stickers. Do it right or don't bother.

Does anyone know if the collector community in Japan is as surprised/frustrated/indifferent to Takara's Prime releases as us overseas tend to be?

I do like the little targetmasters Takara is doing... but those stickers... no thanks. I like paint apps so much better.

Looks a lot nicer than Hasbro's version. Not going to import it, but it's still nicer looking. Once again, the micron weapon is great.

Still looks awful. I'll stick with my FE. That Micron is tempting but it's not worth it.

I like the yellow but those Micron ports.... Ugh. I'm tempted to just file them down and patch it up with some paint once mine arrives.

I think it would be less work to mask off the windows and wheels and just primer & spray the Hasbro version the color you want. I know you may have already paid for the Takara, but at that price, what's tacking on another $12?
