tol! tinignan ko profile mo and nakita ko ung flag ng pinas and naka sulat nga na from philippines ka. bakit mo natanong yan diba bagyo kalaban natin ngayon? haha

anyway. I actually thought of this because there were some areas near where I live that became flooded from storm 'ondoy' (dont know the international name sorry), So I thought once the water came into our house I'll go get a plastic container (not a bag) where all my collection/toys would fit, and will probably be the first ones Ill save after my family

but this a FIRE were talking about, if this happens, it sucks bro, you really gotta get outta there ASAP!!! go get insurance for your collection haha

save the kid. save the woman. save the cats. save the toys. in that order.

I have no desire to try and find the botcon seekers again so I would quickly sweep my shelves into a large bucket and GTFO

    Edit. Fuck fire.

    ser amir! kumusta?

i was thinking about a scenario where the whole family and pets are already in a safe place and you got a few minutes to save yourself and some TFs.

i'll probably just run out with my SoC Voltes V and MP prime and then build the collection again. that's my saner approach to that kind of tragedy.

    but you're right,... F#@* fire!

now floods...hmmm, i haven't thought of that. but i think, as long as they don't float away into the sea, i can still clean the flood dirt off and salvage them.

Erm, I wouldn't save my life for a couple of thousand bucks worth of replaceable toys. I love my collection and it would suck to lose it but let's face it - unless you have in your possession maybe some prototypes of which there are 2 or 3 of in existance or even one of a kind... that should be in a vault anyway and heavily insured.

Photo albums, external hard drives, you know. Irreplaceable stuff. That's what you'd save if you had to.

Has anyone here insured their collection? It should be covered by any basic protection.

Um, i'd put the toys before the cats.

I'd probably just grab all he photos, hard disks, that sorta stuff. Then probably get some of my TF's, probably RID Storm Jet, E.Treadshot (and all his buddies), Rail Racer, and the Landfill set.

Though i'd probably get my Gundams and Shinkis out first.

A collection can always be rebuilt, so I'd need to make sure my essentials are out and safe before I go for TFs.

That said, if I have time, I'm dumping out a crate and scooping them all in there :) .

In that split second in time, It's all about priorities. What do you try to save first? Luved ones? Birth Certificate/Passport/Degrees? No - screw all that! I'm grabbing all my Late Japanese G1s! :D

Since I couldn't possibly save all my transformers from a fire, it would be my duty to burn to death with them.

    Insurance is your friend.

I would probably try to grab my childhood G1 Prime but wouldn't be too worried about the rest.

If I lost my collection in a fire but could only save a couple I would let it all burn. I am nearing the 1000 figure mark and probably still collect because the collection is so large and impressive.

If fire took it from me (I pray to God it never does) I would let it all go with a heavy heart and collect the insurance from it.

    Thanx

Other than my cherished childhood Scarem, I would let them burn easily, and let my family's homeowner's insurance take care of the rest. Probably make more than reselling them that way, haha.

I would love to save at least a couple of my Figuarts as well, but those would be a bitch to save, because I keep them on display in one room and all their boxes with extra hands and shit are elsewhere.
