Was it pretty much that yellow Cheetor or whatever he was in Beast Wars?

also in Beast Wars were there any Beast Wars transformers that were like Soundwave and Starscream?

i think terrorsaur is the equivelent to the ol' screamer, and i dont really recall anyone that haves soundwave's personality/similar voice thing. but soundwave was a easter egg cameo on both beast wars and machines.

    Terrorsaur is Starscream

Cheetor is you kid character (Bumblebee/Hot Shot)

No one was really like Soundwave. Maybe Scorponock, but that's a stretch really.

Beast Wars started out with the cast being analogous to G1 characters, but it was a concept they abandoned pretty early on in all but a few aspects.

Your closest to bumblebee would likely be rattrap or cheetor, and neither fit well.

Starscream was definitely Terrorsaur, and I would say Scorponok is the closest to Soundwave, but there's no real comparison between the two other than a few minor details (loyal, has flying recon parts that detach, etc.)

yeah figured Cheetor was the Beast Wars version of Bumblebbe in a way or whatever. Its been so long since I've seen the Beast Wars show when it was on Fox back in the day.

Fixed. Even in the G1 cartoon, Soundwave was never that loyal. Inferno was a fanatic.

Cheetor started off as with a personality somewhat similar to Bumblebee. They both had personalities similar to a child. In season three after Cheetor went through "cyber-puberty", his personality became more like Hot Rod. Then in the Beast Machines episodes, they continued in Hot Rod's path to make him somewhat the equivalent of Rodimus Prime.

soundwave knew what was going on behind the scenes.
tarantulus had things going on behind the scenes.

so they could be similar ...

however beastwars characters are timeless and stand out on their own. sure within each TF cast there will be similarities but beastwars stands apart becuase of its writters not being japanese. not being racist but seeing as they came from a different walk of life than who typically write the stories can make a huge differance.
anytime frank miller writes a comicbook it instantly becomes darker. just saying, just think about it.

Cheetor was nothing like Bumblebee aside from the fact that he was kid-appeal. Animated Bumblebee maybe, but not G1 Bumblebee.

The great thing about the Beast wars characters is that they are not really comparable to any others in TF history. Certainly not at the time they appeared at least, when all there was to compare them to was G1.

Cheetor without a doubt. Also Terrorsaur is obviously based on Starscream because of what they have in common.

Cheetor was more of a proto-Hot Shot if anything. There's also a ton of similarities to Hot Rod, who I think he's the most like out of any previous TF character.

But really, he's his own character. He's really NOTHING like Bumblebee.

don't confuse a sense of childlike sense of wonder with a child like personality. G1 Bumblebee was no more a kid in character than the rest of the autobots. He was relatable through his interest in our world, and by being the smallest/weakest autobot, something a child CAN relate in a world of adults. But 'Bee himself was never a child character in the context of the autobots. In contrast, look at Hot Rod who by definition was viewed as immature by his contemporaries.

Bumblebee was a member of the original Ark crew, thus making him one of the Autobot elite (as thats who were selected) and functions as a scout/spy. He was never portrayed as being a kid.

If Waspinator were with the Autobots, then maybe he could have been the BW version of Bumblebee. But yeah Cheetor is said to be Bumblebee of BW.
