New for 2012
Best news of the year!
Great some one has finally woken up to the idea.
Next we need a Defcon.
. . . yet another thing I may want to army build. Though I wish we had Deluxe sized Sharkticons first.
But will it transform?
From the looks of it,nah,it will not transform i suppose
But will it blend?
I can't believe all the stuff I want is coming from 3rd parties
Nice idea, someone needs to make this, but honestly Impossibletoys is one of the last companies I'd want it to be. Not feeling the render, don't love their record. A couple of the Quintessons are good and that's like it.
Judging by the hinge on the back and the super simple Transformation the original had I see no reason for it to not Transform.
All you'd do is flip up the croc head and adjust the arms and legs a bit really... maybe swap out the hands or fit something over them Heck Doctor Wu could knock it off as a legend and it would still work.
I do hope they tone down the sharpness of the spines a bit a lot of my quints I either stab myself on the spikes or they get all bent up.
Bah weep grah nah!
It definitely transforms.
does it transform ? wow !!
I have everything (almost) from Impossible Toys and they are definitely not top tier. Their products fill a niche at best while we wait for something better. I doubt this will change that. Still, at the lower prices BBTS has been selling their stuff for lately the cost benefit scales are in their favour.
wow! first good news of the year. it just sucks that everything is coming from a third party because the prices are kind of insaine but hopfully this will be somewhat cheap.
Seems like Impossible Toys has done rather poorly with Transforming toys so far (and Animated cast figurines ... yeccch!). At least this appears to be simpler and meatier in design than the Arcee toy, which may work in its favor.
If this figure does indeed transform, I'm taking three.
It would be neat if a design like this had a mechanism so when you pressed the head crest the robot face munches up and down.
We will need an Energon Goodie accessory now too.
Looking again at the render I can see the ball joints for the beast mode legs inside his back cavity.
And i'm serious about them making the spikes less sharp - there's no need to cut yourself when playing with something like this.
I hope it proves durable as having this would probably encourage me to play with my Quints a lot more.
I really want this guy made, I just wish it wasn't coming from Impossible Toys. I guess there is a good chance it might never happen, it just seems the done thing to get the figures unveiled ASAP these days.
