Impact on falling

    For sure, maybe not quite 20 ft.

    Didn't one of the creators call it "cydraulics"? I know the TF:The Ultimate Guide by Simon Furman, has a cut-a-way of Optimus and shows the inner workings.. the 'transformation locking bars and hydraulic shaft infrastructure' and that he has 'enhanced shock distribution system for high altitude drop/impact absorption'.
    Works for me! :D

    Rewatching the scene, yeah Breakdown totally falls on snow. You can actualy see how when he jumps he aims for the white snow instead of the frozen ice paths.

    ... Plus if he hit the ice he would've probably broken it and sunk
