Remember when bay said that the imax would be longer.
Which scenes were actually longer?
some constructicons driving, overload for sure.
more fighting in the forest scene for sure.
did it look good in imax
can you tell me exact pionts
exact points of what
exact pionts of extended footage
i haven't seen movie in imax only in a regular theather
Its been stated that the IMAX version is supposedly 26 seconds longer. Here is a few points I noticed in the IMAX version:
When Grindor transforms and lands, he takes two extra steps and reveals his propeller weapon.
During the forest battle, there is a scene where Optimus is harassed by all three decepticons at once right before he is lifted and kicked by Megatron.
Optimus is on Grindor 2 seconds longer after he is killed.
Sam is on the ground longer next to Opitmus when he falls from Megatron's blow.
That's pretty much all I can think of right now. Hope it helps.
EDIT: Sorry, forgot about when Optimus kicks Starscream's face and instead of the scene where Sam is mid-air with dust surrounding him, there is a clip of Starscream hits the ground.
I also forgot to mention when Optimus tackles Starscream after throwing his right sword at Grindor.
That's everything, I think?
During the forest fight, there are a a few extra seconds of Prime surrounded by the 3 (and getting hit by all 3) before Megatron kicks Optimus in the face.
Then after Prime does the roll-over Starscream and chucks his sword into Grindor (in the regular footage), he charges into Starscream with his shoulder before planting his sword into Megatron's foot and pinning him, then laying into him with 1 or 2 punches in addition to the punches shown in the regular footage.
Also it seemed like Grindor's landing after transforming was just a second or two longer.
EDIT: beaten by InFluenc, who had it mostly right.
Any reason almost 30 seconds of awesome footage was cut from the theatrical version?
Was it supposed to be incentive for seeing the film on Imax?
He was strongly pushing the IMAX version forward because he recommended that this was the only version that he wanted viewers to see
You guys all forgot something:
In the normal Forest Battle after Optimus kicks Starscreams face, you see Sam flying through the air, but in the IMAX version you see Starscream falling to the ground instead.
God imax was the best
Bottom Line, the most notable extended scene is the forest scene, and that's all I know
weren't there extended scenes of devastator? whenever I heard of IMAX in rotf, I always assumed it had to do w/ devastator
I've been dying to know, but does anyone have an break-down of the extended version of the forest fight scene?
you should read posts #8 and #9 of this very thread.
