I'm really torn on this, are most of you guys gonna use the 3D glasses that you get at the IMAX or are you going to buy your own? Like the Optimus Prime and Bumblebee Glasses? A lot of the IMAX glasses are old, have scratches, etc, does anyone else have the Prime and Bee glasses? Are they good?

Good question. I may look at them to see if it's worth picking up, but for one film it probably isn't. I haven't really had any real issues with dirt or scratches on previous trips, and I won't be seeing another 3D film until another well-designed one rocks up.

I'm more concerned about the screen. RotF had a massive line on the IMAX screen (or film itself, hard to say), that distracted the hell out of me. Stuff like that is glaringly obvious when it's 76 feet tall.

As cheesy as it is, I'll be seeing it opening day with my girlfriend, and like in the ad, she'll be wearing the Bee mask and I'll be wearing the Optimus mask. :D

I'm not going to see it in IMAX, but I'm seeing it REAL3D and I am definitely using my Optimus Prime mask, it just has to get here.

Nah, I already bought them. I bought the Optimus and the Bumblebee one and a bunch of DOTM figures a couple of weeks ago from Amazon and it hasn't arrived yet.

I want to get the Optimus glasses when I go to see it, but not sure if they're actually going to be released over here. :(

Are the optimus and Bee glasses better than the ones you get at the IMAX theaters? More comfortable?

To be honest the only thing that you may find annoying is the strap. But you could easily forget about it during the movie.

Other than saving money on buying the 3D glasses for the movie, I guess not. I'm just doing it for the fun experience though. :)

Yeah same. It just makes sense to see a TF movie in 3D wearing an Optimus Prime Mask rather then wearing generic 3D glasses.

note. imax 3D is not the same as realD 3d.

you might be screwed if you go in there with only your optimus prime visor.

I don't know if your talking to me or the OP but I'm going to a normal theater because I'm not a rich fish and the nearest IMAX is in Melbourne, so my Optimus Prime mask should be fine.

I have glasses when i watched Avatar in 3D back in 2009. They say RealD 3D, would they still work when watching IMAX? because the IMAX glasses i get in the cinema are too big and not quite comfortable.
