Good advice. Also, depending on which statue (if any) you want, these things normally have a lead time of 2 years. Some companies have a payment plan at pre-order so by the time it is released you've paid it off.

 

This statue is basically a copy of the Maketoys Giant. Look at those knee details, its just like the toy. Its just funny an official license product gets inspiration from a 3rd party toy

 

Now I\'m not a \'fan\' of statues, because I prefer the pieces of my colloection, 3rd party or not, to look accurate as possible WHILE being able to transform, being true to it\'s namesake in being called a TRANSFORMER. However! That is not to say I don\'t appreciate this piece of artwork, and the time it clearly took into making this.. Would I have it in my collection? Maybe if it were within my price range. Do I think it\'s WORTH $2,000 or however much Hasbro\'s selling this thing for? Yeah, actually I do. I bild transformers themed avatars on a 3D game called second life, and I know how hard it it to capture the likeness and detail of whatever character I make.. So I may not collect statues because of my viewpoint of the product and what it has to offer, but I can certainly appreciate it\'s craftsmanship by simply saying \"Damn that\'s a pretty piece of work\".

Looks like B. Crusher, Scraper and Mixmaster.

I don't get it. I mean, I love my Maketoys Giant dearly, but why copy that one?

Can't be a petty thing like "Screw you back 3rd party!!!" right?

I do like that they at least added a bunch of detail. The ladders/stairs to Long Haul look good as do the hydraulic lines on Scavengers bucket arm.

I do wish that the diorama would've been an Earth based dio. A skyscraper/buildings with street, cars, trees, people...

 

You could always pick up the MakeToys' Green Giant Type 61 set (which is what that statue is 99.999999999999% based off of) for about 1/10th the cost of this statue. Just hope you are open to 3rd Party figs
