The images that have been posted claiming that the Megatron toy pictured is a FAST ACTION BATTLER are incorrect. As of the time of this posting, it is unknown exactly what the Megatron figure is, but our sources tell us he is NOT a "Fast Action Battler".

In before Megatroptimus says "I told you so" :)

Seems most likely he's a Voyager "Fresh from Frozen" Megatron, or some such similar.

I thought it was quite clear on what type of toy he is. He's the prelude version megatron like the already shown optimus and starscream. Quite a cool idea if I'm right. With hope they will release pre-earth figures of all the movie characters, perhaps some that are only mentioned in the comic or characters that will appear later in one of the sequels.

I can actually understand why this might be the Voyager version. In the past, Hasbro has been careful not to release smaller versions of their bigger toys, because they lose sales on the big guys. This way, they've got a variation. The big one is the "normal" version, while this is the "Frozen Arctic Baddie" version. They can market them much the same way as they sell the repainted figures as power ups of the normal ones sometimes.

I was thinking the same thing. The shape and type of joints remind me of preview Starscream's

No, my answer to that is YAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!! :)  Maybe it's not even the voyager version, which could be reserved to Megatron's earth mode?

He's probably just like the many different BATMAN and HE-MAN figures that get released. I was expecting a "battle-damaged" version for each figure too for maximum milking...

He's not the Leader Class. We've seen that one as well, it is noticably bulkier in both modes.

If this is the voyager version, I'll be disappointed. I'd much prefer to see a smaller scaled Megatron without the ice. However, if he is another preview figure, it's a great concept.

A preview figure of Megs would be a giant plastic block of ice with a dark shadow inside and zero points of articulation. And 'glasses-zapping' action.

It does crack me up when people suggest this is the protoform version.  :lol

I'm really suprised that this isn't FAB. I was certain it was, based on the more 'kiddie' colouring and simplistic design. All of the other voyagers have been works of art compared to this, and it's not just because of the poor movie design either, because Leader class Megs looks BADASS.

At least now we know that Deluxe Skorponok will have someone to keep him company on shelf-warming duty now.
