The one Transformer I had always wanted was G1 Megatron. Even as a kid, I had never seen one, or found one to buy. Nowadays, I always had trouble finding one at a reasonable price.......UNTIL NOW. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290105669225 Seems to me getting a complete G1 Megatron in decent condition (sticker, chrome, and joint wise) for $66 USD isn't too shabby!
For me it was Grimlock. With the insame amount of TF and GIJoe I had as a child that was the only one I wanted that I never had. I even had the GIJoe Aircraft Carrier. God how I wish I still had that one, but my mom's dog peed on the box it was in about 10 years ago and she tossed it out. That was to me is the greatest toy ever made. It was 7' long and took a day and half to apply all the stickers...ah the memories. I am sane and realise that I will never even see one of those again, let alone have the funds to purchase it.
Hmmm, I guess for me I've always wanted the autobot Headmasters. I was getting out of TF's when these were showing up, but I thought the concept was cool. Someday I'll actively seek these guys out.
Well, honestly, I was spoiled as a kid. I had basically all the transformers that I really really wanted save one....Fort Max. I got him for my 25th birthday and have had two more since then. Other then him, I always wanted PRedaking but never got him. I got him in 2002, the pastic set. Paid a FORTUNE for them, mint complete and then they go and reissue it LOL. which i have as well. Trypticon was an XMas gift from grandma on year. He was one of my favorites to play with as a kid. Now, he isn't really high up there but stilll a kool figure.
G1 Prime. Even saw one up on a shelf at the Super X not far from where I lived when I was little. Never got one. Just pre-ordered Renewal Convoy, today.
i got em a year back. i wouldnt say frickin 20 years. considering i only started collecting since, what, 2004? 2005? hes great.
first toy i remeber seeing was a sunstreaker...and he is craptastic. Also a kid in my class had all the newest tformer stuff and brought his scorponok to school ...I wanted that so bad also
Grimlock for me. (i had a fair number of TFs as a kid, but zero dinobots) and a complete Roadbuster. although i didn't really realize how much ass he kicked until i was an adult.
as a kid, I didn't know about Skorponok and Fort Max, which are the 2 I want most now. But as a kid I always wanted Metroplex, Predaking, and Skylynx. I am only missing Skylynx now.
I was always pretty fond of Trypticon and Scorponok, so I was very happy to get hold of both dudes about 5 months ago. Still got to play the "track down all the parts" game, but that's part of the fun, right? Right? Eh.
It is! Trypticon parts can get expensive too though. That little hand gun for full tilt cost me about $20 a few years ago when I realized he was supposed to have a gun. I still have my childhood Trypticon and that was the only part I was missing.
For me it was shockwave, My favourite character, i dont think he was ever released in australia. i was so happy to pick him up complete in great condition with his manual for $50 from this website. Scorponok is no2, hes on the way. Fort Max would be great too, but hes not cheap and to ship one to me will cost as much as a trypticon / metroplex.
For a long time, my most wanted list was: 1. Fort Max 2. Omega Supreme 3. Soundwave 4. Megatron 5. Trypticon 6. Menasor 7. Apeface 8. Sandstorm 9. Swoop 10. Snapdragon I got TFC Soundwave and Megs a couple years ago, Omega (MIB!) at BC'06, and just got Menasor (MOSC/MIB!), Sandstorm, and Snapdragon in the past couple weeks. Of course, once I really got into the online TF community and learned more about Jp and Euro TFs, my list was, of course, modified. Now it's probably: 1. Fort Max 2. Overlord 3. Liokaiser 4. Trypticon 5. Apeface 6. Road Caesar 7. Swoop 8. Mirage 9. Sunstreaker 10. Superion (I have a KO, but want a real one!)
I stoped with toys when I got to the age of 11 or 12 , many TFs hade been damadged , stolen , lost parts etc etc. I remeber I really wanted the PM Prime and I even hide the box under the shelf in the store untill mom could afford it. I have a PM Prime now but I am so gonan uppgrade him to MIB/MISB..it brings back memories of my mother she always bought me TFs as a kid and so did dad ( he still lives) and best memory was when I got two big boxes for my birthday ..first one was Galvatron , and the second Scorpenok. I will ippgrade them to MIB to one day ..to serve as memories.
believe it or not, as a kid I never got prime or soundwave. better believe that when I started collecting again in '97 those were the first two I got, mib. I got into a bid war over the prime because I wanted the one with the gray roller and metal plates in the trailer. I bought soundwave from...men in black.
