I remember wanting Trypticon SO bad when I was kid a but my parents wouldn;t buy it for me...so I was incredibly happy to get one in great shape three years ago. SUCH an awesome G1 toy

Personally for me the biggest grail right now is an Overlord, Raiden, or Liokaiser. I'm not actively searching though...

I remember wanting Devastator when I was a kid. He was so cool. I only ended up getting scrapper. Then later on when I started collecting, he was the first one I got.

    Sunstreaker, Wheeljack

Growing up, I only had Grimlock and always wanted the other 4. After careful eBay'ing, was able to complete the team for under $40.

Over the past year, I was able to piece together a Menasor and Bruticus from the JE and eBay too. It's great. :)

Toy I've waited God knows how long to get? Liokaiser.

But not for much longer, hopefully.

My Number one grail for a long time has been Trypticon, hes just so awesome!
I really need to get Full-Tilt sometime, just to tide me over.

Its so hard to get one though, he always seems to either be broken, have lots missing, or non-working electronics :(

    Defensor Giftset.

But then again, pretty much all the G1 line. I use to stare for hours at the toy catalog. I stared until my eye bled.

It's Metroplex for me. When I was a little kid I had a baby sitter that I would be with every so often after school, and at her home she had a foster son who had tons of G1 Transformers. He was meticulous about them, he had Metroplex in a box and all it's parts in plastic bags. And he never let me play with it, he was so careful with it that even if he brought it out all I'd get to play with was Scamper. That memory taunts me and I'm still after a complete Metroplex, but when I have that kind of cash there's never a 100% one to be had, and when there is I never have the cash... vicious cycle.

Megatron was the only one that I REALLY wanted as a kid. Folks were against it, and in retrospect made up some pretty flimsy excuses to stop me from getting it.

Bought a MISB one in summer 98, long before there was any hint that it would be re-released umpteen times. I promptly opened it, and in the same circumstances i'd still do it again.

I know the Robot mode isn't too pretty, i know the alt mode isn't to scale, and i know the character was a bit cheesy at times, but Megatron will always be my favorite TF.

It was Shockwave for me. I never had him as a kid in the 80's due to not being able to find him anywhere. In fact, he was probably THE most elusive toy out of the bunch. I managed to score a mint version last year for a pretty decent price, and could not be happier.

To a lesser degree, Jetfire was also a toy I never had as a kid and have wanted for years, so I was glad to finally pick him up as well, shortly after my Sockwave purchase.

The resissues of Prime, Megatron and more recently Soundwave really helped me round out the core G1 characters I ever cared about that I either lost or destroyed as a kid. And of course the new Classics Seekers drove it all home.

I'm not sure what one I'm down to now. I've got Trypticon, Brave Maximus with repro Fort Max guns, Raiden and Liokaiser KOs that are as good as the originals, each and every one worth it.

I suppose now what I'm really after is Roadfire or Swoop. I've not give it much thought since I'm pretty happy with all the ones I now own.

I also had the Trypticon bug, I settled for Gigastorm and found the tank to complement him.

    Works for me!

I actually had quite a few I REALLY wanted and were never able to get.

I never particularly wanted a Megatron 20 years ago, but I do now.
G1 Optimus Prime. Yep. I never owned one. Ever. Had a buddy who did. I tried ordering one via one of those mailaway things, but it was expired.
Fortress Maximus and Trypticon... but not Metroplex or Scorpinok. I mean, I wanted the latter two, but it was the first two I really had a bug for.
And... any of the autobot headmasters. The bigger ones.

I also always wanted and never got a Hot Rod... till maybe two years back when I got a cheap second-hand one. Holy crap, he would have been my favorite toy of all time if I had gotten him when I was younger.

Mine was Prowl and then I got him a few years ago.

I had Tryp as a kid but sold him when I went to college. Still kicking myself for that one.
