When I first saw that pic of the main console (not the controllers or Wiimotes), it honestly took me a bit of time to figure out what I was looking at before I read the "Revolution" on there. Afterwards, I thought it looked rather slick and pretty modern looking like something I'd buy for my computer. I didn't even realize it was the a "classic look" until I read someone mentioning it; however, a lot of this is contributed to the fact that I never owned an NES. I don't know about the controllers and Wiimote designs (I'm sorta neutral on them) but I think that main console is very slick looking.

No, it had two 64-bit chips. You may be thinking of the "Ultra 64" arcade boards, which I think used two 32-bit chips, or maybe the fact that the Nintendo 64's CPU and co-processor only use a 32-bit bus. Incidentally, the 16-bit CPU of the Genesis only used an 8-bit bus.

And my Wii is getting sent in tomorrow for repairs.... so sad.

Somehow the picture is very badly deteriorating. It isn't just w/ one game or anything, it is even on the "channels" screen so it is definitely a console problem.

I don't know what is causing the problem, but certain parts of Zelda are total crap b/c of it. It looks like there are vertical scratch lines all over the screen. Especially anytime the game is the mountains, desert or village. I didn't have any probs for the first month or so and now it has gotten completely screwed up.

Well the good thing is that Nintendo sent me a packaging slip and all that so all I have to do is ship it to them and wait a wk or so for them to ship it back, hopefully fully repaired. I'm gonna miss my Zelda while it is gone.

Anyone else having any problems like this?

I haven't so far and hope that it never happens to me. I haven't played mine in a week or so at any rate, need to start playing Wii Sports again or finish Bonk and Castlevania. This may be a stupid question but did you check the cables to make sure they were not loose or plug another system into the input on the TV or switch box or whatever to check it? I'm sure you probably thought of that but just thought I would ask.

    Well then, mystery solved :)

    It's still not a case of 32 + 32 = 64 though :p

Yep, checked all that. What I think might have done it was downloading the damn free version of the internet browser. I didn't have any problems at all until I downloaded that, then the lines popped up and have been getting progressively worse. Either way, my Wii is off today to be fixed. Hopefully they will have it back to me soon since Sundays are going to be especially boring w/o any football and I will need the entertainment.

I hope you get it back soon. My brother's 360 died last night so he is feeling your pain at the moment. He plays that thing almost everyday all day so I let him use mine, he bought it for me as an early Christmas present on launch day after I waited in line for his and I felt bad for saying it died when the screen when white and before the red ring of death appeared. After the red ring the second time we turned it on it worked for at least 40 minutes before the red ring appeared again. What really sucks is that the warranty ran out in November and it will cost $140 to fix and we just can't do that now.

It's very strange that the internet channel would cause it, mine works fine. I just don't understand updates kill systems at random. It seems like something like that would brick all of them. Did they give you an estimated return date and did you back-up your saves on a SD card? If you had VC games I hope they are not lost.

Only for a year and that year was up as of November last year.
