After trying to convince myself that I didn't want one, the wife was making comments the other day about how she'd like to have one. While this may not be a big deal to some, the fact that a new videogame console was being welcomed into my house is a bit of a rarity, and it's hard convincing her to sit down and play most of my other games. So the temptation was even stronger due to that. Anyway, I was at work today when I bought a paper, looked at the Wal-Mart ad and saw they were advertising Wiis and it said "minimum 5 per store." It was slow at work, so I asked if I could go across the street to Wal-Mart. They said sure so I headed over there and lo and behold they had like 5 of them. Granted this was 3 in the afternoon so I was amazed that they still had them. ***On a side note, after I bought it I had to run over to Meijer for extra controllers where a man and his 2 sons were staring at the empty Wii section blankly. I asked if they were looking for Wiis and they said yeah. I told them I was just over at Wal-Mart and they had a few left after I got mine. They got really excited and thanked me, I hope they got one. *** Now I've spent about the last 3 hours playing Wii Sports (probably picking up other stuff tomorrow) and it's a blast. I've even had my first Wii related accident, while I was telling my wife about wiihaveaproblem.com during a game of bowling, she goes "who in the heck would have and accident playing this?" and I swear, just as the words leave her mouth my hand nails a bottled water and sends it pouring onto my HDDVD remote. In short, I'm eating my words on this one, the Wii is a great system. VC games are pricey, but Nintendo has nailed it with this one. I hate eating my own words, but this is worth it.
