You just have to realize that on the internet, there is no 'perfect' place to shop. BBTS has some (justifiably) outrageous prices on items you could easily obtain elsehwere. BBTS also has perfectly reasonable prices for things like imports, and even better prices for products in their sales and clearance department.

You should always research toys you're interested in to make sure you get the right price. I use no less than the following sites for buying figures, simply because it's impossible to always get the best deal from any one in particular:

    BBTS
    TFsource
    Toy Arena
    Robot Kingdom
    Amazon
    Ebay
    TFW Junkions

I think Amazon.com is a non-option. If you ever want a good laugh, look up the prices on Transformers from, say Cybertron (or any series, for that matter). For example, those Leader Galvatrons that were on clearance for months at my local WalMarts now go for $250+ there. And I once saw a Legends Blackout for $50, and this was when it was still in stores. :lol

totally agree.. words of wisdom right there.

and sometimes you just have to wait it out to find the right deal.

They are pretty good with current stuff, but by next year that Sideswipe will be selling for 10x what it is now; it's no good for older stuff is what I was getting at.

Got Orion Pax on sale for $73 and Nike Free Convoy for $50 BBTS...but I agree with both sides here. Basic rules of economic applied makes you succussful but sometimes you need to think of your market.

I thought that's why they were called Big BAD Toy Store?

I never buy anything from them...the most I've ever done is preordered an item until TFSource puts up their preorder.

I like BBTS. They have good service and they're products always arrive on time and in good condition. With that being said there's no way I'd buy any retail product from them. BBTS is smart about their business; they know the supply and demand cruves very well.

I'll buy a majority of my online stuff from BBTS, but I'm not that desperate to pay a mark up price for their retail stuff.

because they aren't like gonna sell the older figs that come in the new assortments and by lowering those costs before they clearance them they risk making their mark ups on the new and hot stuff look even higher than they are

I never cared for BBTS or their prices. If there's any TF figures I want I'll get in the Junkion, probably the best prices you can get

The price really isn't that bad all facts considering BBTS like all businesses are in it to make money not take on overstock just to turn around and have to sell it for less than half what they bought it for or in some cases never at all. At least they're not out there backdooring Walmarts swipping them out of the cases before we can even get a chance to buy.

They have to be doing that to get some of the exclusives they carry...

Last I heard, they do rape and pillage Walmarts/Targets/Toys R' Us' to get the exclusives to hock for higher prices online...
