If this is him he finished in 5:58:20 http://www.championchipmn.com:8080/TCM/Maptracker?bib=3870 I would say he deserves this
Yep, I did it! And this was record heat and humidity in the 26 years of this race. I got a lot of experience doing long runs in this heat this summer and basically slowed to a walking pace when my body started telling me I was on the edge of overheating. The key is to make it to the finish line in one piece, not to go as fast as you can. Slowing down is one of the strategies you need to use, and it's counterintuitive. That's why runners get heat exhaustion, dehydration, injuries and worse. That heat and humidity was the biggest challenge, along with finishing in the regulated six hours. 5:58:20 was my time! It's crazy, 10,500 people registered and only 7,215 finished!
Now the question is how are you feeling today? That humidity was terrible yesterday. My time on the treadmill at Golds Gym yesterday was bad (I only did 2) because of no AC. I can't imagine running 26 miles in that.
I'm sore of course, in my calves mostly, but also my shoulder blades, lower back, quads, the bottoms of my feet and my lower abs. I had one blister on my left big toe. I was also running what felt like a fever yesterday from the end of the race until I went to bed. Back in the day, I've had worse hangovers.
way to go fost... Now you can say you ran a marathon.... and I can't. haha good job bro... What kind of shoes do you have lol.
