vaseline works as well, KY probably wouldn't since it's water-soluble and wouldn't last long while you're sweating.

good luck. i just ran my first 1/2 marathon at the beginning of Sept. and i can definitely respect someone doing a full one. enjoy, keep a steady pace, and hopefully they give you beer at the end
