It's finally here, the event I've been training for since January. My record is 23 miles, only goal is to finish and have fun. It's the Twin Cities Marathon, from the Metrodome, around the city lakes, Minnehaha Creek, the Mississippi and to the state capital grounds in St. Paul. Then I'll have a big plate of lasagna. The route: I'm going to get a lot of rest tonight because I have to get up early Sunday. Race starts at 8:00 am, forecast calls for rain and a high of 75. Probably will be more like 60 during the race. Wish me luck and no bloody nipples!
All that training is finally gonna pay off!! Good luck bro, Ill be pulling for you!! Just beat that one guy from Kenya! Eric
I don't think first-timers even START at the same time as the Kenyans. I'll try and tie his laces together before the race starts. Or I'll have Bugs Bunny in drag seduce him just before the finish line.
Wow, it's come around already? I wish you all the luck in the world buddy, I hope you have an awesome marathon and a great time ...
Best of luck, guy. Shit, if you've run 23 already, the adrenaline alone will take you the final 3.2. Let us know how it turns out.
