Being as my wife doesn't want to tell anybody until she's through the first trimester, I thought I'd share my good fortune with everyone here!

I'm dying to tell somebody, and since this is where I socialize/lurk the most on the Internet I thought who better to tell?

It's too early to know the gender of the baby yet, but my wife is already joking that if it's a boy she just KNOWS I'll be trying to interest him in TF's as soon as he's old enough.

Anyone here have children old enough to share their hobbies with? If so how's that working out?

You don't get to learn the secret handshake until after the baby is born though :)

Congrats!! I have a nephew who's 5 and he loves transformers. It's awesome to have my little man to go toy hunting with, he's always ready. The only "downside" is that he always expects a new TF from me every time I see him. One day he'll understand his Aunt is not made of money....hopefully.

My almost 2 yr old son can't keep his dirty little hands off of them, so I'm about to start buying 2 of stuff just so he can destroy his own versions!

Congrats on the Prego! Gold medals for your swimmers...

    Congrats!

The best thing about having kids is you never have to find the remote yourself ever again - until they all move out anyway.

The worst part is I am constantly guarding my balls from impact.

    :lol

I sleep with a pillow on mine. Now I know why older dudes sit with their legs crossed.
It's from sack protection from their kids.

Yeah I gotta guard the equipment or he/she will end up being an only child!

Oh believe me, male or female I will definitely try to interest my child in TF's. If I happen to have a girl who likes them then I'll be expecting lots of thanks from a son-in-law some day. :sly:

Thanks for all the congratulations guys!

Congrats man! I got a 4 month old and while he's a handful (with dry itchy scalp keeping him awake at night and sensitive skin that's prone to rashes) I adore my son so much. You will be kept awake a night and won't have much time to do anything for the first few months but trust me you'll love it.

And yes I intent to introduce him to TFs as soon as possible. ;)
