I just got the news today! The due date is Sept 12 - Oct 12, and I have never been such an amazing combination of scared, happy, excited, and wow in my life. Any advice, any anecdotes, any THING would be appreciated.

To paraphrase a great man, today "I'M A GROWN ASS MAN!!!!!!"

Awesome , congrats. No words can really express....

My only advice, have no fear and enjoy the ride. It's going to be an amazing year.
    Maybe buy a camera too

Once your dad blood sets in, you''ll be fearless. It's a nice upgrade

Oh yeah, sometimes chicks can get a little wierd during that first baby year, as in KNOWING EVERYTHING, but can't blame them for feeling like that since they'be been attached for 9 months. They zone out hardcore into momma land that first year.
Just dont worry if she does, she'll be back to normal.

Thanks for the kind words and good advice, everyone! So far, the best advice has come from my wife. She said if I make the transforming sound in the delivery room that the police will never find the body! :lol

Go to Barnes & Noble, find a book called " She's having a baby, and I'm having a breakdown". Lots of great advice for first time dads. And as posted earlier, get a camera and keep it in or near your wife's pregnancy bag. (the one packed for the hospital)

Congrats man. The best advise, just be there for the baby. Help the wife and be merry.

As a dad of a 15 month old I am qualified to offer some advice, so here goes:

Get lots of sleep, do everything you want to do NOW, read lots of books on baby so you can help your wife with the newborn, oh and make sure you attend some classes together. Best wishes to you and your wife!
