Totally sick and wrong. I am so glad I don't live there.

    I'm glad I don't live in Darfur.

Things are all relative, and like the recent drug-related-murder/dismembering thread, this is a little weird but not that horrible. Relatively speaking, of course.

Considering the murderer's gas station used the death of a father of 5 to make a couple extra bucks all over 3 cents a gallon... I beg to differ.

No, it was the gas station of the murdered that raised the price to make a few extra bucks, while all the police were at the suspected murder's station investigating.

Okay, stand corrected... doesn't make it any less sick to take advantage of a death, more sick realizing it was his own employees that did it.

I'm not saying it's not horrible, although I can see that it sounded that way--and apologies for the double negative.

All I'm saying is that the world is a horrible place, full of things that make this look tame by comparison. I mean, it's not like the guy made a conscious decision to kill people over a few cents. He got angry, and lost his temper, and someone died. Countless worse things are happening constantly, and I just don't get the weird outrage or proclamations of horror when something like this is posted.

"You don't scare me you slant eyed yellow bastard!"
    "Take him to Detrit.."
    "NO! NO! ANYTHING BUT THAT!!!"

    :lol

Anyway that is truly messed up. Guess a life is meaning less these days..

That location is about 10-15 minutes up the road from me. Freakin' idiots. Shoot someone over a few cents/dollars. Yeah that is so worth going to jail the rest of your life.

If prices keep going up I think this is only the beginning of the rediculous stuff to come.

Maybe just a little correlation or whimisical connection so to speak for you all. Its been "speculated" that people are getting shot over there for oil, why not here for gas. shrug

The thing that you have to remember is that the retailer does not make much money on gas. A "good" margin is $0.15 per gallon. It's all crazy, and I am in the business.

Sigh, notice speculated is in " " Consider as well the definition of the word speculated.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    spec·u·late

    v., -lat·ed, -lat·ing, -lates.

    1. To meditate on a subject; reflect.
    2. To engage in a course of reasoning often based on inconclusive evidence. See synonyms at think.
3.To engage in the buying or selling of a commodity with an element of risk on the chance of profit.

Latin speculārī, speculāt-, to observe, from specula, watchtower, from specere, to look at.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    #2 states inconclusive evidence

    I chose my words carefully.
