I hear some people saying there will only be 8 Fall of Cybertron toys. And there are already 8 confirmed ones... And we need Starscream! We need a new Megatron! We need Cliffjumper! We should have Insecticons! We need Grimlock! We'd like toys of generic enemies! We need Thundercracker! We need Skywarp!

So is it true there will only be 8? Is it only a rumor? What started the rumor?
I am just glad there's a few things that say there won't only be 8:
*Hasbro promised a full line, and eight is not a full line.
*Why make new packaging if there'll only be eight toys?
*Megatron's new design would be an epic money maker.
    *STARSCREAM! EVERYBODY WANTS HIM!

It feels good to get that out in one post.

But I DO still want those questions answered...

Whoa. JOOOOOYYYYYY... but is 2013 Generations meant to be ENTIRELY FOC or just some FOC and back to the old game of re-releasing older toys?

    And thanks.

There's no guarantee, however, how many of those forty will be Fall of Cybertron toys. I would assume more than eight.

There were only eight deluxes in the RTS line. That's not counting voyagers, but still.

If you ask me, Bruticus should just be considered one toy so that there can be hope for 4 more toys.

I don't think they ever count Box Sets in counts "like these", which would free up for five more, which I would like to be Megatron, Starscream, Cliffjumper, Grimlock and Ironhide (or some other powerful Autobot, because Bruticus needs a challenger, and Starscream, someone to get punched by)

Oh, and that's only if there is only 8. Which I hope there isn't... :p

Actually, it will be more like 40 planned, with 28 cancelled.

    And that's being optimistic.

Well... 1, don't ever take Hasbro's word to heart. 2, I think the whole 8 thing started from them only showing 8 at the UK toyfair... Also what was said about 40 Generations figures for 2013 is a nice indication that there will be several FOC molds... There aren't too many remakes they can do.... Unless they start doing Beast Wars *drools*

At a European conference or something they explained there would be 8 Fall of Cybertron figures.

At Toy Fair they claimed 2013 will see 40 Generations figures. The Generations line is designed around modern updates to classic characters. The Cybertron games do fit this criteria which is why the first 4 were made. But we know nothing of these 40. It is possible, however unlikely, that all will NOT be from the Cybertron games.

My opinion on the matter is that we will see more. Perhaps not this year but probably next year. But until anything else is revealed assume that these 8 are the only ones we will get.

It's far far FAR to early to be panicked. Assume you will not get one. Then if you are wrong it is a pleasant surprise. Hope for the best but prepare for the worst.

don't worry, we'll get more FOC figures no doubt, though i am not that excited, cause most of the newer designs suck ass, well, its mostly the headsculpts that suck, bodies are fine

someone correct me if I'm wrong, but Bruticus will be all single carded releases in Wave 2 of Generations this year.. Likely not a box set (although I pray I'm wrong about that!)

Correct, they will be 5 individual figures. They will all be in the same wave but it will not be a box set. This was confirmed in either the Kotaku interview or the Game Informer one.

Why would they make new packaging for only 8 toys? And the second bolded one is depressing...

We need a new Megatron, and a Starscream!

They made new packaging for the continuation of the Generations line, which these 8 are a part of.

I merely said that it's possible these will be the only Fall of Cybertron figures released. It's also possible the entire line of Generations will be repaints of previous molds. Neither is what I would say is likely but at this point in time they are both possible.

To quote Sherlock Holmes, "When you remove the impossible what ever remains, no matter how improbable, must be the truth."

As I said, in my opinion I suspect we will see more Fall figures next year, perhaps shown at Bot Con this year. But we just don't know yet so it is best to assume nothing.

I don't recall anything saying only 8 FoC figures. As I remember it, that was the first wave. Even if it's only 8, it's more than the last game got.

It was at the UK Toy Fair where it was said there would be only 8 FOC figures this year.

Of course, there could be more as part of the 40 Generations...but those are next year.
