I generally don't buy a TF from current series if it's much more than its regular retail price (this is not saying I don't buy an overpriced TFs, I do jump on "exclusive" stuff if I really want it). I'll wait and see, and if I end up paying way much more than retail down the road, I'll pay the price. If it's gone completely, oh well. But that's me, if you are happy with the price now, go for it. Even if you find another one cheaper eventually, just consider the difference as the cost of your peace of mind.
If you really, really, really want it then I guess you could go for it. I'm still trying to be patient and waiting for retail because I don't want to spend like $25 more than the figure's worth.
At one per case, and without another one in Wave 4, I'd say get them while they're still at that price if you can't take it any longer. I did, and I have no regrets. I got a single Vehicon at retail, two a local got for me in LA for 30 each, and then I ebay'd the other two. ZERO REGRETS. I'd actually look forward for seeing more vehicons in retail 'cuz that would just mean other people will have good chances of getting them.

the store that had the Hot Shot at some point had the Vehicon and Knock Out as well then. Gotta wake up early and go there when they open
yeah i did it and il get my second one at retail time to wake up early tomrrow morning and see what i can find
Don't do it I got 2 already retail at walmart 12.99 each just wait it out and search enless you got money to burn.
Buy it if you want it. I probably paid more than I should have but I didn't want to wait, so I plunked my money down. And now I can enjoy my Vehicon whilst others complain
Be patient dude. He'll be at the brick and mortar eventually. No reason to pay triple the price for a virtual certainty.
If you want one that badly, do it. Especially if distribution is slow or poor in your area. He's an excellent toy.

I dunno what this speaks to more (my psychic abilities or simply how predictable some things are), but I didn't even think of that. When I saw the title, I thought it'd be about a purchase... and what'ya know?
Not necessarily. Not with being shortpacked, the scalpers, and the GD troop builders buying up multiples of a figure that's already tough to find. I have yet to see one at retail. Not one. And even if he does eventually see one, by the time it happens, he may have wasted $20 in gas anyway. At least now it's out of the way for him.
