It's so sad. Melrose was my first job. I have many friends that still work there even 20 years later. K.B. will help, but it will be hard to fill the gap Toys R Us is leaving behind!

 

Stopped in the Western Ave Toys R Us yesterday. Still quite a bit of random merchandise left there, of course none of that being Transformers. Ended up grabbing a Lion Fire Fortress Zord for $30.  
Meanwhile, news this morning: "Jerry Storch, a former CEO of Toys “R” Us is working with investors on a “reboot” of the retail chain." so we'll see where that goes.

I just went ahead and ordered an entire wave 2 set off BBTS. I don't need Rippersnapper or Blackwing, I will sell them for $10 each to anyone here who wants one or both of them...

 

Happen to be in Lockport Walmart while they were restocking they had a case of wave 3 so I picked up a set of terrocons and left a other.

 

Grabbed 1 set of terrocons and left 3 sets at the Walmart on 75th St in Naperville.

 

Found 2 sets of wave 3 deluxe figures at the Walmart on Elmore in Davenport. I bought one set of Terrorcons so there is one set left at least.

 

Bought a set from Villa Park. Left a set.

What’s odd is the woman was restocking wouldn’t open the case for me. I was supposed to wait for her to actually put them on the pegs. Key word being supposed to.

 

Walmart on Diversey in chicago -
There were four sets of wave three Terrorcons. I took one set of three new guys. Still three sets on the pegs when I left at noon. Happy hunting!

 

Streator Walmart has two sets of wave 3 POTP. Took 1 set of Terrorcons, left the rest!

 

Picked up a set of Wave 3 Terrorcons at the Bloomington Walmart. No remaining ones unfortunately though. However, I haven’t checked the Walmart on Greenbriar so they also might be there.

 

Brickseek says there are 20 deluxes there, so theres a good chance some of those are terrorcons. Ill check on monday

 

Here’s my question. I was at Addison Walmart and they had 2 Sinnertwins and 1 Cutthroat. Who buys just Blot???

Walmart in Elk Grove has all 3 Terrorcoms and plenty maybe 4 of each

 

Was out in Chicago visiting some friends and took a bit of a stroll around to check out some collector stores. Pretty sparse at a lot of them, but Kapow toys on Belmont Ave in the Lakeview section had some interesting stuff. Not much of it was in pristine condition, but still worth a look. A few things I can remember were a sealed original BW Megatron, a RID Cryotek, a TF07 Voyager Rescue Ratchet, and quite a bit else. Prices were a little steep, but you might be able to haggle with the guy.

 

After playing around with the guys, I think Blot is the best of the three new guys. Doesn’t look like much, per se, but dang he is solid and has a nice transformation. Sinner Twin was the guy I most looked forward too, but he’s kinda janky, due to some unfortunate design choices. Cutthroat is not terrible, but easily the worst due to the bird head popping off way too easy and the crest and jaw falling out of it as well. Blot is about equal to Rippersnapper in terms of excellent quality.
