So Drossel-as-Sari has been done before. This may not be the biggest one, or the best painted, or have the most accessories, but she's mine. She's made from the smaller 4" tall capsule Drossel instead of the big figma one. I was hoping this would put her kinda sorta near scale with some of the autobots and she's not too far off. Her blades and wings attach with magnets. Super bonus nerd points for anyone who can guess what her cheek armor thingies are mode from.
Amazing! And it's awesome that she in-scale enough to ride Prowl and not look awkward. Are the cheek things hip-pads from a Gundam kit?
That's really nice! I had considered getting one of those smaller Drossel figures to attempt this as well.... it's nice to see that it would work well, scale-wise! Your paint looks great to me, nice work. Love that shot alongside Bumblebee, that works perfectly.
Thanks! Yeah, it was a pretty easy repaint, so you should totally get one and paint her up No guesses yet what her cheek thingies are made of?
love the paint job. as for the cheek thingies....I wanna say they are someones "kneecaps" or knee-guards, but I can't place them right now....they do look awfully familiar....
Cheek things: are they the yellow pieces that always fall off of Concept Camaro Bumblebee's (the '07 mold, and any other repaint of it) shoulders? Otherwise, they sorta look like something off of Destiny Gundam, maybe the back of the hands? Cool Sari custom, btw. The Capsule Drossel, judging from the one I have, fits the scale pretty well, and she looks great riding Prowl. The blades are also very cool.
Great! So they were BB's shoulder pieces. Who knew those choking hazards would ever actually come in handy! So, does this mean i win the Sari figure? j/k [/still skeptical since WS X isn't the OP] I believe the capsules are only sold in Asia, as I've spotted them at my local import shop that has lots of Asian capsule machine goods. Don't think they were ever released in the west. Still, worth hunting down. I paid $10 AUD for mine, and I don't regret it at all. There's even four versions, so you can hunt down whichever accessory you want. There's her jetpack, her microphone gear, a regular Drossel (with hair pieces) and a fourth which I forget off the top of my head. Quality's also nice, good toys overall.
