    Mod knowledge FTW!

That piece is sharp, but I'm just not attached to it enough to justify that price tag.

I want one myself, but that price tag is too high for me. Price check?

I have that boxed one and a loose one I'm keeping. The Ikard (Clawjaw) is cool by himself, but given a motorcycle and giant octopus buddy it freakin rocks! The tentacles have these levers in back that let you control the big rubbery tentacles. It's definitely one of my favorites.

I read somewhere that Tako Tank was initially intended for a modern Microman line buy ended up with Beast Wars instead.

I have one MIB. It kicks major ass! It looks even better with the green UK TM Claw Jaw.

I've wanted Ikard for the past few years. WAY too spendy for my tastes since it's rare though. I might have to bite the bullet and get Claw Jaw just to have the mold, though Ikard's colors are so much better.

All of the early BW basics are great moulds (IMO), and the Tako Tank is the coolest accessory that we never got.

I heart Clawjaw... looks amazing in white too.

See if you can hunt down the European "Transmetal" repaint. He's dark green, with lighter green circuit board patterns on him. It's a nice repaint. I'll admit, I like Claw Jaw in his original deco too, though.

    *cough* sig *cough*

The Claw Jaw mold is rather impressive in some ways. Not quite my favorite, due to the pathetic and forgettable weapon (TFU.info doesn't even recognize he has one), but very poseable, with a nice and fluid robot mode and interesting transformation. I would have liked to see more done with his arms and tentacles, rather than make the pair of tentacles his robot arms and the squid arms just fold out of the way.

Funny enough, the European packaging labels him as an octopus, not a squid. Almost as bad as some fans constantly calling Dead End a snail.

Ok, so its "tako tank"? Bwtf has it listed as taktotank... that may help my google and ebay searches. Also makes sense since when I order octopus at a sushi bar its "tako". (See how I put two and two together like that? =)

But, why is this so rare and flipping expensive?? Was it a limited release in Japan?

I'd imagine the playsets didn't go over too well, and most of them went to kids... It could explain the unusually low supply of them MI(S)B and the generally low supply of them period.

There's usually 1 or 2 of them on auction at yahoojapan weekly, but they only show up on eBay < 10 times a year. So rarity may be depend on your location.

For the price, like cobra zartan's example, it can be cheap, but I had to shovel out ~$60 to have mine shipped from Japan using a deputy service (a middleman, essentially). I grossly underestimated the size of Tako Tank.
